Burnham Lodge, offering nursing, residential and day care is housed in a splendid building dating from about 1900.

Located between Burnham, Maidenhead and Beaconsfield, it has been carefully and sympathetically restored to recreate a country house atmosphere, while providing a comfortable environment where it is easy for residents to continue to enjoy their individual way of life throughout their retirement.

Fully carpeted and centrally heated, the house offers a warm welcome. The lounge has magnificent views of the gardens. The newly decorated dining room is vibrant and welcoming to provide a delightful setting in which to enjoy freshly cooked meals, every day.

There are 39 comfortable single rooms and 10 double rooms, tastefully furnished, most with en- suite facilities. Each has colour television and resident/nurse call systems, as well as full internal and external telephone facilities.

A varied activities programme caters for residents with different hobbies and interests such as: arts & crafts, exercise classes, musical activities, cooking, days out, gardening and visits from animals.

Burnham Lodges benefits from a bright conservatory, communal lounge and a dining room to enjoy the fully inclusive homemade meals.

Also on offer at Burnahm Lodge is a hairdressing salon, access to video calling to stay in touch with family and friends and a fully inclusive laundry service.

My brother has been at Burnham Lodge for several weeks and during that time he has been really well looked after, by a caring and dedicated staff. His health has improved and his medication has been reduced, and his quality of life has, as a result, significantly improved. Thanks to everyone at Burnham

It is wonderful to know that my father is receiving such warm and caring support. The grounds of Burnham Lodge are beautiful, with lovely benches and grand trees. The staff are attentive and look out for him. The room is extremely clean and comfortable.

On visiting our friend, we were horrified to see that a staff meeting took precedence over his distress at requiring the toilet urgenty. The manager said he would be attended to when the meeting had finished.
1) Callous
2) Not putting resident's needs first
3) Not leaving at least one member of staff
on duty during meeting.
Would not recommend this company or home.

My mum is been a permanent resident and has been there for 6 weeks and has settled very well (has wobbled a couple of times - to be expected).
Staff are excellent in their compassion and understanding.
There is always a wide range of activities going on including days out with no pressure to join
in.
The house is stunning with 2 conservatories with beautiful grounds and garden which my mum particularly enjoys.
Mum has a lovely room with a view that she adores watching wildlife.
It was mum's birthday a few days ago and we had a afternoon tea with family which was fantastic and all arranged smoothly.
The food is wonderful and mum who is a picky eater is very happy.
It's taken time to get to this position but with the help of all the staff we are beginning to feel much more relaxed in handing over mum's care and being able to enjoy family time with her again.
Thoroughly recommend.

Since my father arrived at Burnham Lodge he has been treated exceptionally well and looked after with amazing care and understanding. He has a beautiful room, which is kept clean and tidy and all of his needs are met.
Nothing is too much trouble for the staff from management to the wonderful housekeeping
team. The one lady entertainment team is outstanding as is the food, all prepared freshly on a daily basis, especially the handmade biscuits!
I would not hesitate in recommending Burnham Lodge xx

This present stay at Burnham Lodge is my fourth one. That surely is enough proof of my faith in the place!
In 2003 we were looking for a residential home for my 94 year old stepfather & finally found Burnham Lodge. My mother & I instantly fell in love with the place, the setting & the friendly atmosphere.
My stepfather spent his last six months here, & had excellent care. My mother spent her last two weeks here & I was with her as she slept her last sleep. If I cannot care for myself I have vowed that I will come to Burnham Lodge, where I will get the best care & be returned to health.

My friend and I work for a homecare agency and we used to care for the resident before she came to Burnham Lodge. We cared for her in her own home and become very fond of her and loved caring for her so we have remained friends and also with the family. We have visited twice now and have been so impressed
with the amazing customer service and very warm welcome, we even received lunch! We can clearly see how happy and relaxed our friend is.

My dad spent six weeks at Burnham Lodge - the staff were all professional, experienced, knowledgeable, kind, compassionate, caring, went above and beyond expectations. Food was perfect, absolutely loved this place and all the staff, from cleaners to carers, nurses and management, what an establishment,

This was my first visit to Burnham Lodge. I was assisted for my visit by one nurse in particular. She immediately understood my job role as IMCA and was very helpful and accommodating. She was naturally very busy ensuring residents were looked after, and kindly took the time to help me to find the information

I knew as soon as I walked into Burnham Lodge that it was a special place; it was so welcoming and homely. From the outset, the whole team has been brilliant and I can't thank them enough for everything they have done to personalise my mum's care and to help her feel relaxed and happy in her new home.
I am amazed by the variety of the activities programme and the beautiful grounds are the icing on the cake. After a stressful couple of months, it's such a relief to know my mum is being cared for with such respect and kindness.

The staff are so friendly and respectful and have really got to know out dad so well with all of his funny traits! My brother and I are kept well informed of how he has been and we particularly enjoyed all of the Christmas activities which really showed how the staff went that extra mile for all residents

My wife is a resident in Burnham Lodge Care Home and has received nursing care since her admission during May 2022, with an advanced stage of dementia known as PCA (posterior cortical atrophy); this disease affects relatively younger people. She has received outstanding care from excellent nurses and
carers. I pretty much visit her every day, so have a very good insight into the home. The staff are very friendly, extremely polite and are very responsive to any needs that we have. Her room is spotless and cleaned daily. Most importantly, she is in a very safe place which is critical owing to her vulnerability and provides me and my family with real peace of mind. The food is very good and always served in good time.
We are very fortunate to have found this home.

My name is Daria, and I’ve had the privilege of working at Burnham Lodge Nursing Home for over two years. I’m excited to support Burnham Lodge as a Deputy Manager and continue growing in my career. I've been a nurse for eight years, throughout my career, I’ve worked extensively in the learning disability and dementia care sectors, which has fueled my passion for providing person-centred care.


I love bringing smiles to people’s faces through outstanding care, which keeps me motivated every day. I’m particularly passionate about dementia care and wanted to work for an organisation where ‘people matter’.
