My father was only here for 6 days and those days were the longest and most stressful of my family's life. As I am not allowed to write my true thoughts, I will keep it short and sweet and simply say to not use this place if you want peace of mind. I am full of guilt for leaving my father here, and
that will always be with me.

My mum went to Alexandra Care Home after being in hospital for 2 months. She was very poorly with various things wrong with her. The settlement was challenging for her as this was her first time in care, but persistence by the staff has definitely paid off. The overall environment is warm and friendly,
staff always listen to what you have to say. I recommend this care home.

The carers provide the best service possible to my nan. They always make sure she is clean, and well-fed and her overall well-being is good. They are very patient with her and always keep myself and my mother updated on any changes in how my nan is doing. All members of staff are very friendly and will

My mother has been cared for at Alexandra Care Home for the past 6 months and has quite complex needs including dementia. The staff have been amazing. They are kind, caring and treat her with dignity and respect. They are attentive and helpful and I think they are all wonderful. The care home is well
run, clean and welcoming. I cannot praise the home enough.

Our mum was only at Alexander Care Home for a week before her death but the care she received was brilliant. We were not able to see her to start with because of Government covid restrictions but the staff were helpful on the phone and we were able to have video calls. The staff were so supportive to

Although the care home lacks spacious ground and outside facilities this is more than made up for by the very caring staff and the friendly atmosphere that exists in the home. My mother has received very good medical attention when needed and necessary attention to her security as she is prone to falling.
With her limited mental capabilities, she is always bright and interested in the people she's meeting and those around her. In the main, she seems to be content and happy.

Absolutely fantastic care home. The staff are so informative, and I haven't seen Dad look so good in months. We are kept up to date with his progress daily, and all the staff always go the extra mile. Would highly recommend.

Alexandra Care Home continues to give my husband excellent care both in terms of friendship and medical care. Julie started working at Alexander Care Home in 2012 previously working in various roles in care. She started in domestic, moved onto carer and senior carer, team leader and finally offered the role of the administrator in 2003.
She has professional qualification in Level 2 & 3 in Care.
Level 2 in Business Admin and completed train the trainer in phlebotomist, housekeeping, dementia.
Julie believes that to be good in her role she needs to be a good communicator and build relationships.
Her favourite part of her working day is not knowing what challenges face her and how sheI will resolve them, and reassuring families if distressed.
Outside of work Julie enjoy arts and crafts and reading. I am very family orientated so family time is very important to me, it is a big part of her life.
When asked 'what do you enjoy about working at Alexander she said 'I feel part of an excellent team and feel we all work well together and help each other problem-solve.'

Renata Szegedi

Job Title: Clinical Lead Nurse

Joined: 2012

Renata has worked at Alexander since 2012. Previously Renata worked as a RGN.
She feels you need to be competent, hard-working, have good communication skills and first aid training to be good in her role.
The favourite part of her working day is making the residents feel happy and comfortable after I’ve done my job.
Her biggest career highlight to date is when the families appreciate the hard work Nurses and the carers are doing.
Outside of work Renata enjoys shopping, coffee with my friends, family programs or just relaxing alone and writing.
The thing she most looks forward to is is working with my team in my unit and other units, we are all such a happy team!
