Reviews

6.2 The Manor Merton has a Review Score of 6.2 (6.203)

The Review Score of 6.2 (maximum of 10) for The Manor Merton is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  • a) The Average Rating is 4.7 out of 5 from 5 Reviews over all time. This Average Rating is also the rating value for The Manor Merton in Google's Search Results - more info

  • b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 1.5 out of 5 from 1 positive Reviews in the last 2 years. (A 2 year period has been used as there were no positive reviews in the last 12 months)

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating of all Reviews over all time. For each review the Care Home / service is rated Excellent, Good, Satisfactory, Poor or Very Poor on a number of areas eg Staff, Management etc. The Care Home receives points for each rating as follows: Excellent = 5. Good = 4. Satisfactory = 3. Poor = 2. Very Poor = 1. These points are added up and then divided by the total number of completed ratings to generate the average rating.

    The Average Rating of 4.667 for The Manor Merton is calculated as follows: ( (42 Excellents x 5) + (16 Goods x 4) + (2 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 60 Ratings = 4.667

  • b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 12 months. If there are no Positive Reviews in the last 12 months, then 2.5 points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 2 years. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with 'Extremely Likely' or 'Likely' in answer to the question 'How likely are you to recommend this Care Home to friends and family if they needed similar care or treatment?'

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 5 Positive Reviews, 3 points for the first Positive Review and then 0.25 Points for each of the next 4 Positive Reviews.

    2. 1 point is available for reaching a target number of Positive Reviews based on 20% of the number of registered maximum number of service users. If the target is partially reached then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home with 50 registered maximum number of service users has a target of 10 Positive Reviews, if it has 10 or more Positive Reviews it will receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews will receive 0.7 points.

    3. If there are no Positive Reviews in the last 12 months, then 2.5 points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 2 years. The calculation is the same as above, except the points are divided by 2.

The 1.536 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for The Manor Merton is based on 1 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as follows:

    1. 3 = 3 then divided by 2 = 1.500

    2. Target of 14 positive Reviews (70 registered maximum number of service users ÷ 5). 1 Reviews ÷ 14 Target = 0.071 , then divided by 2 = 0.036

  • When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

My Grandfather was a resident at the Manor for three years before he sadly passed away. Throughout the duration of these three years the care, friendship and love he received was outstanding and came so naturally to all the members of staff (from the cleaner to carers). Every time we visited my Granddad we were all made to feel at home and especially more so whilst my Granddad was on palliative care. Nothing is to much for the carers and nurses and the level of pride and care they take in their work is admirable. After a hard family decision to move my Granddad to the home there has never been one occasion where we felt this was the wrong decision which is down to the staff and the constant smile on my Granddad's face when a member of staff entered the room whilst we was visiting. All members of staff are an asset to the home and I could not thank them enough for the love they showed my Granddad from the day he moved in to the day he passed away.

My dad was a resident at The Manor Nursing Home for the past 3 years, sadly he passed away on 1st February 2016. From the time he walked into The Manor he was treated with the utmost care and dignity. All staff at the home were excellent, nurses, carers, activities and domestics. He and we as a family became part of the "Manor family", my dad loved the staff.

During the care at the end of his life, I have never seen so much commitment and love given to him. Even if staff were not working on his unit, they would come up to see him and see how he was doing and gave him a cuddle and kiss.
I was with my dad for all his last days before he passed away and the support by the staff towards me was 110%. If anyone is looking for a home for their loved ones, don't hesitate to go to The Manor.

I can't praise the staff at Manor House enough, each and everyone of them are lovely, kind caring people. I have no worries about the care my mother gets. My mum is so happy and content there, and I know she loves the carers that look after her you can see it every time she sees them. To me they go that extra mile for the residents, they always cuddle and play around with my mum as if she was their own family.

I go over every day and visit and her care never alters, and if I did have an issue I only have to say and I know it will be seen to straight away.

Very pleased my mother has moved to Manor House after a very poor 1st stay in another nursing home. The refurbishment have made a major improvement to the living conditions but the care and attention shown to my mother have always been of a high standard. We appreciate the regular updates from the manager and staff and look forward to the events which have been placed in the near future.

I have been coming to see my uncle for over a year now. I find all the staff very friendly but I would like to mention the driver of the mini-bus, his manner is outstanding. He is very kind and helpful, very bubbly personality and this makes life easier for me because at times it can be very stressful seeing you relative not the person he once was. When leaving the home to go back on the bus is easier when you have someone like him who listens and makes you laugh.
