“…just because one is disabled does not mean one should lose any sense of independence or adventure in life…”
Askham Court and Askham Place are part of the “village community" complex at Doddington, March. The modern facilities have been specifically designed to provide for needs of the young with varying degrees of care needs; extensive use is made of tracking systems to aid mobility with larger than average room space.
For enhanced mobility, a Beauty and Leisure Therapy Centre is available within the complex which includes a fully featured Gymnasium and HydroPool. Hydrotherapy, physiotherapy and gymnasium sessions can be tailored to meet individual mobility needs for residents and those on respite or day care.
Social interaction is a key element for the young offered through extensive formal and informal gardens, the Askham café and participatory forums run by the residents.
“Excellence in care” is what they aspire to!
