Care and support are also provided to those requiring palliative care.

Situated in a pleasant area of Bournemouth, Queensmount features outstanding facilities where residents can choose to socialise, entertain visitors or simply enjoy some peace and quiet. The attractively decorated home includes en-suite bedrooms each with a flat-screen TV and a 24-hour call system, while outside offers well-tended gardens and patio areas.

Only fresh produce is used in the preparation of nutritious and delicious meals, and all tastes and diets are catered for. Snacks are available morning and afternoon.

A dedicated activity co-ordinator ensures hobbies and interests are enjoyed, such as films, bowls, cake making, and charades. Local singers and musicians make regular visits and each month there is a themed event.

A perfect final place for Dad. The staff really cared. The home was clean and well-managed. The staff, without exception, made this a real home, inclusion was key to everything they did. Even during difficult times; COVID, no lifts, lockdowns, they made extra effort to make Dad feel looked after. When
Dad had his difficult moments, they went the extra mile. I will always be grateful to all the management and staff for what they did for Dad over his three-year stay.

My mother-in-law was cared for with the utmost professionalism. Staff were always able to explain what was happening, kept us well informed of any changes and was extremely approachable. The family always felt welcome. At the end of my mother-in-law's life, they showed great compassion and treated her

My mother has spent the last 5.5 years at Queensmount Care Home and I am so grateful for the care she has received from the staff from the day she arrived to her last breath. They have been her second family and we as her family have got to know the staff and appreciate all they have done for her and

From the minute I walked into Queensmount for my two-week period of respite, I knew it was the right place for me. I was immediately welcomed by the receptionist and staff. I checked in when I was discharged from hospital after lung surgery for cancer. I extended my three days and didn't want to leave!
I am a fit and able 62-year-old woman. All the staff were incredible! Caring, friendly and so very helpful. Very attentive and always checking on me, giving me my medications and meals and tea etc. Without a doubt the best place to be for my recovery and healing, as I had no concerns or worries. Pure care and focus on me! I was sad to leave. A fantastic place for operation recovery and highly recommended!

Although Mum was there for a relatively short time, we were welcomed with respect and understanding from our viewing to the final days of our Mum's life and beyond. We can only give praise to all the staff for their care and support as we feel they assisted in making Mum's last days more fulfilling.

My father went into Queensmount for palliative care. He was only in care for probably three weeks until he passed away. The care that he received and the attention to detail for his needs were exceptional. The staff go above and beyond to ensure that all needs are met with care and dignity. I know that
my father had the best care possible in his final days.

My grandma moved into Queensmount Care Home over 2 years ago. It was a really scary time for her (dementia) and for the family as she became more unable to look after herself... Queensmount have been a lifeline. The staff are incredible, so kind and thoughtful. The daily activities are wonderful to
keep Grandma active and around other people. She has found a wonderful community and is honestly happy each day.
The care staff and office staff are so good at keeping the family informed. And even during the very difficult times of COVID, we were assured of care at all times.

The care home was so welcoming to our mother and us as a family. My mother wasn't always an easy person to look after and the staff were always patient with her. The staff were especially brilliant in my mother's last 5 days, I was allowed to stay overnight and we were all cared for. The last few days
of my mother's life are now filled with so many lovely memories, I cannot thank everyone enough for this gift.

I am writing this review following the sad passing of my mummy who was a resident at Queensmount since January 2023, I had heard many good reports in the years preceding her stay. So when we had to make the difficult decision to take the nursing home route, Queensmount was one of our choices and I am
so glad we chose Queensmount.
I have no regrets which is so comforting now, I spent time with my mother most days during her 9 months there and what a fantastic experience, the staff are so kind, professional, and friendly.

Sadly my mum only had a short stay at Queensmount before she passed away, however, I have nothing but praise for all the staff. Without exception and starting from when I first went to have a look around, my mum, myself and my family were made to feel so very welcome.
Nothing was too much trouble
and we were always welcomed with a smile. The manager herself was especially wonderful and helped me get things in place to enable my mum to move in quickly.
There was always a very relaxed atmosphere which was very calming but we were all very aware of how hard the staff worked to make everything run smoothly.
The nursing staff were fabulous and right up to the end, they made sure that Mum was comfortable and that anything she wanted/needed was done without question.
I would not hesitate to recommend Queensmount to anyone and I really can’t thank them enough for taking wonderful care of my lovely mum in her last days.

My father has settled very well in to the home with the help of all the staff.
I now have peace of mind as I can see how well he is looked after and cared for. The home organised a trip out for him and he so enjoyed this. It was a lovely thing to do for him.

My mother went into Queensmount Care Home last December. She found it difficult to begin with as she has always been very independent. I go in to see my mother every day, and my brothers (2) are also regular visitors. I have found the staff very caring and the management I have found to be very supportive.

Erika Assi

Job Title: Financial Administrator Joined: 2015

I joined Queensmount in May 2015 as a part-time receptionist. In 2016 I became a full-time customer advisor, later in the year, I moved roles as Senior Activities Organiser. With my past background in accounting, the role of Financial Administrator became available within the home and this has always been my dream job. I applied for the role and was over the moon when I was successful with my application


I love working at Queensmount as it feels like my second family. I enjoy chatting with residents and relatives and having a hands-on approach to ensuring every department is delivering the outstanding care which is reflected in our recent inspection report.

I have worked at Queensmount on reception since June 2016. I thoroughly enjoy my work here; I enjoy welcoming people into the home and making sure people are happy and comfortable.


I realise how difficult it is for families making the move from their own home to a care home and try to make it as smooth as possible.
