Queensmount Care Home

Queensmount is a very special care home offering a fully integrated package of care including physical, medical, psychological and social aspect delivered by committed professionals and through many channels including hands on nursing, an attractive and clean environment, a shared set of values and beliefs, tailor made excellent diet and food provision, engaging and stimulating activities with a personalised care package. Nothing is too much trouble to make you feel cared for and home. The varied nationalities and cultures of the staff add a definite positive contribution to this healing community where personal dignity preferences and needs can be accommodated and acknowledged. This was my second visit to Queensmount - this time following a bad flu infection which left me unable to cope at home for a while. I felt that my reasonable quick recovery was down to Queensmount. Queensmount has a special magic which for me, is about its serenity, calm and positive atmosphere coupled with a very high standard of medical and social care.

She passed away in October 2024. All the staff were so comforting when it happened. I have been back to the home since her passing and have been made so welcome.

The staff at Queensmount Care Home were highly competent and professional, embracing every dimension of the care home ethos of compassionate and healing care. They were all so attentive, warm and kind both during the day and the night time. The whole spectrum of the care home staff from reception, management and nursing staff to cleaning and catering staff were truly exemplary in their expertise and care. With my sincere appreciation and gratitude to you all.

Everyone no matter what their skill was kind, caring and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. The menu and restaurant were a lovely touch of normality as was the constant activity in the lounge. It was a pleasure to spend time with mum in Queensmount in her last days and I will remember them fondly.

Mum settled so well at Queensmount, right from the start. The home has an "outstanding" score, which is well deserved. It was a home from home for Mum, who sadly passed away earlier this month, Mum, and other residents, were consistently extremely well cared for and supported. Staff work together, as a team to maintain very high standards. Everyone shows such kindness and respect to residents and visitors alike. There is a dedication that goes above and beyond in all aspects. First-class nursing support and care gave Mum a quality of life and a feeling of belonging, for which we will be forever grateful. The activities were lovely for Mum and some were brought to her, even in her final months. I cannot recommend highly enough. Queensmount is exceptional. Thank you so much.

A beautiful well-maintained care home. After being initially apprehensive about putting my father-in-law into a home, let alone choosing one, we couldn't have been put more at ease by the lovely reception staff who eased our concerns and answered the family questions. His stay there was wonderful and he felt right at some. From the nurses, activity staff, cooks and cleaners everyone made time to talk to you and treated my father-in-law with dignity. Words cannot sum up how grateful we are as a family for looking after my father-in-law in what was an incredibly hard time for us all. Thank you again.

Dad sadly passed away in June and during the last few days we spent with him. The staff went above and beyond to look after him and us. They genuinely cared for him and we thank them all.

My mother was a resident at Queensmount for almost 6 years before she passed away there in June. I have nothing but praise for everyone who works at Queensmount. She received the best of care throughout her stay - their excellent care remained constant throughout despite Mum's deteriorating condition. All members of staff (nurses, carers, kitchen, cleaning, finance, management etc) were thoroughly professional, friendly and supportive. They were also communicative and promptly addressed any concerns I had about Mum's care.

I found Queensmount very clean and a friendly atmosphere, the staff seem to be very attentive to the residents' needs and nothing seems to be too much trouble, my cousin seems to be very happy there and as she suffers from a serious condition so she can't enjoy and do all the things that we all take for granted, yes they do their upmost best for her, so she can enjoy her remaining days in comfort and be in a safe and secure environment without having to rely on careers and family to help her with her basic needs. 10/10.

A perfect final place for Dad. The staff really cared. The home was clean and well-managed. The staff, without exception, made this a real home, inclusion was key to everything they did. Even during difficult times; COVID, no lifts, lockdowns, they made extra effort to make Dad feel looked after. When Dad had his difficult moments, they went the extra mile. I will always be grateful to all the management and staff for what they did for Dad over his three-year stay.

My mother-in-law was cared for with the utmost professionalism. Staff were always able to explain what was happening, kept us well informed of any changes and was extremely approachable. The family always felt welcome. At the end of my mother-in-law's life, they showed great compassion and treated her with dignity and evidence a good understanding of palliative care. Thank you.

My mother has spent the last 5.5 years at Queensmount Care Home and I am so grateful for the care she has received from the staff from the day she arrived to her last breath. They have been her second family and we as her family have got to know the staff and appreciate all they have done for her and along the way became friends.

The care at Queensmount is outstanding and has been throughout all the years my dearest friend has been in there. The last few weeks of her life were made bearable by the respect and compassion she was treated with and also the wonderful way the family and friends were also supported throughout.

Queensmount took great care of Dad. The staff really got to know him and had a laugh with him which was important to us. At a hard time for us, they met us with kindness. Thank you to all, especially some members of staff in particular.

Queensmount provides care tailored to each individual and looks after each resident and their family with great patience and kindness. All the staff go to great lengths to help everyone feel at home at all times. Staff are great at keeping families informed and involved. Everyone who works there in whatever role are amazing.

My respite care at Queensmount after a hospital stay was so beneficial in terms of care, kindness and medical staff's ability to deal with my neck brace after a car accident. The staff were so understanding after a stressful time and I shall never forget all the advice and motivation I received in my times of need! Thank you to everyone at Queensmount.

From the minute I walked into Queensmount for my two-week period of respite, I knew it was the right place for me. I was immediately welcomed by the receptionist and staff. I checked in when I was discharged from hospital after lung surgery for cancer. I extended my three days and didn't want to leave! I am a fit and able 62-year-old woman. All the staff were incredible! Caring, friendly and so very helpful. Very attentive and always checking on me, giving me my medications and meals and tea etc. Without a doubt the best place to be for my recovery and healing, as I had no concerns or worries. Pure care and focus on me! I was sad to leave. A fantastic place for operation recovery and highly recommended!

At an extremely difficult time for my mum and our family, my mum found sanctuary at Queensmount Care Home. She was very well looked after and treated with kindness, compassion and care. As a family, we were massively grateful for the kindness that was extended to all of us. At a time of sadness and grief, we could not have been better supported. We will never forget the angels at Queenmount Care Home. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for everything.
