Thank you for your kind comments regarding your Mother’s care at Hodge Hill Grange. Although we understand your frustrations with visiting, all Birmingham homes are in lockdown currently, due to high levels of infection in the area, therefore this is not a decision made by the home. Staff are working hard to prepare their visiting room for indoor visits and we will be in contact as soon as possible to advise you when these can take place.
Thank you very much for your review and your kind words about our care home, it means a lot to the staff and me. We always strive to deliver the kindest care and the highest quality of care at Hodge Hill Grange. We are concerned about your comments in relation to glasses and nail care. To enable us to look into this further, we welcome you to contact the home and make an appointment with the home manager to discuss this further. We look forward to hearing from you. Again we are sorry for your experience.
Please accept my sincere condolences on the passing of your Uncle, I am sorry that the level of communication fell below the standard that we would expect to achieve. Should you wish to discuss the matter further the Area Director would be happy to meet with you to discuss the matter further.
Thank you for raising your concerns with us. I am sorry that you found the kitchen area to be below the standard expected. Regular walks around the home are undertaken by management and as part of this spot checks of the kitchen areas and fridges are completed. I have spoken with housekeeping colleagues and raised your concerns with them and they are now paying extra attention to the kitchen areas as a result. Relatives meetings are displayed and these are planned wherever possible in advance, in order to ensure relatives have the opportunity to attend. I cannot comment in relation to the issue you raised relating to your relative via this forum but would be happy to meet with you to gain more information, in order to investigate this. Please be advised that I operate an open door policy and am happy to deal with any such situations as they arise.
