Mother has been a resident at Brompton House for three years. During this time we could not be more delighted with the care she receives. She is very well looked after by the amazing team at Brompton with every detail catered for. There is a lovely dining room where home-cooked meals are provided.
The lounge area is spacious and comfortable and the residents have a choice of different areas of the room where they may like to sit and take part in activities if they wish. There is a large TV in one corner and a piano which mother likes to play from time to time to the delight of other residents and the staff. There is a beautifully kept courtyard garden for residents to enjoy. External outings are also arranged from time to time. It gives our family peace of mind to see that Mother is very content in her day to life at Brompton. The staff do an amazing job and we are always kept informed of any changes, for example, to Mother’s health. I have recommended this home to friends.

Mum has been at Brompton for six years and I have been really happy with the care she has received. It's a very friendly and caring nursing home and I know mum is happy too. Because of Covid-19 I haven't been able to see her for ages but the staff have been amazing - they've kept me updated and organised
regular video calls which has made such a difference. So thank you, everyone at Brompton - thank you for the care and kindness you show every day to Mum, especially during these difficult times.

An excellent care home, my mum came here on an end of life care plan, everyone from day one was caring, considerate and put my mum's welfare first. The care and compassion my mum received in her final weeks of life were exemplary. I cannot fault the care home and all the staff. If I had to make the
decision on care home again I would most definitely choose Brompton House and I would happily recommend it to anyone. Thank you for the dignity you gave my mum in death.

My mother was a resident at Brompton House for three years until recently. She very much enjoyed living there and was looked after so well. I have continued to have links there by carrying out activities such as baking with the residents on a regular basis. I so enjoy the happy and welcoming atmosphere.

At the reception, you are greeted with a smile, helpful and polite, this attitude continues through all the staff from the manager, nurses, carers, kitchen staff and housekeeper. This attitude is very re-assuring and nothing is too much trouble. A good selection of activities for residents and very
caring every day. The home and rooms are very clean and maintained and the ambience is more like a very good hotel.
The food and choice is really good and caters for all residents.
A very good caring home.

This was my second visit to Brompton House. Each time I was met with a friendly welcome by the staff that work there. I have been to several care homes in my local area but I was very impressed with the standard of this one.
I enjoyed both fun days that I have been to and hope to come to many more.
The residents all looked very happy and joined in with the music. Also, the garden was kept lovely. Full marks to them all.

A huge thank you to all the staff at Brompton House for facilitating my mothers 90th birthday party. Just a small gathering of 12 family members and old friends. We surprised mum and she thoroughly enjoyed her perfect day. The chef did an awesome job. Mother has resided in Brompton House for a little
over 3 years and I am convinced the care and attention she gets every day (and boy she can be challenging) has allowed her to flourish.
Again, thank you all so much. Under the manager's leadership, this team really delivers.

My friend has been a resident for 2 years at Brompton House in Broadway. We visit twice a week and have always found the staff very friendly and cheerful. The home is always clean and warm and our friend is well cared for. The nursing staff is always in attendance and our friend seems very happy there.

My Mum stayed at Brompton House for two weeks partly as a break and partly as a plan to look at care home options for the longer term. The team at Brompton House have been excellent in making the initial arrangements to everyone who looked after Mum during her stay. She enjoyed the activities and I
always felt welcome when I visited too. It is a really great team who were always there when Mum needed them, but not intrusive. The location in Broadway is a massive bonus.

My husband is being cared for two days a week at Brompton House. He is well cared for. He has a nurse 1-1 each morning and she provides information, books and activities for him she will walk with him to the village. All the staff help with him. He is happy there. I am very pleased with everything at

Current Review Score: 9.2 (9.233)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.2 (9.233) out of 10 for Brompton House Care Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.4 out of 5 from 12 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.8 out of 5 from 12 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.433 for Brompton House Care Home is calculated as follows: ( (67 Excellents x 5) + (68 Goods x 4) + (6 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 141 Ratings = 4.433
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.8 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Brompton House Care Home is based on 12 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 3.8
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 40 registered maximum number of service users is 8, which has been reached with 12 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
