The staff are extremely friendly and obliging. Good communication from staff informing you of any situation which may occur. The room is bright and tidy, laundry is always taken care of.

Mum has been there for nearly 12 weeks now. The regular staff are just starting to build up a rapport with my mum, which is essential. Although she has Alzheimer’s, she can hold a proper conversation and loves chatting about the past, and her family. The staff are receptive to feedback and are helpful.
Christmas was made really special, and my dad was able to join us for dinner, which was lovely.
My mum is bedbound and would benefit from a ground-floor room with a view of the outside world, but I think rooms are limited. There can be a lot of swearing and shouting nearby, which is completely understandable but means she has the door shut most of the time. The laundry service is really good but my mum, on the whole, doesn’t enjoy the food. Nothing negative to say about the care, my mum has complicated medical needs which on the whole are met. We are always greeted with a smile and a ‘how are you?’ by the staff, and a few carers, in particular, make a great effort with my mum.

I visit my mother-in-law on a weekly basis, whenever I am sat with her, which is normally in one of the lounges, I am always amazed by the patience and loving care shown to the resident by the staff. On my last visit, a member of the management team stopped to talk to her and knew her Christian name
and spent nearly 5 minutes chatting to her. All the staff are friendly and appear to enjoy their work. I am confident that she could not have chosen a more suitable care home.

Myself and my wife have been to visit our daughter's father-in-law a few times now at Woodlands Care Home in Chesterfield, Derbyshire and every visit has been welcomed by the staff in a most gratifying way. Nothing is too much for them in helping to fulfill our greetings and nothing is too much for
them in their politeness and offers of help. We are so grateful to them for the attention to ourselves, as well as our resident, to whom they give their best attention and commitment.

I cannot rate the care my father received at Eden Holme Care highly enough. I have thirty years experience of working in the NHS and am fully aware of the challenges faced in care settings. The management and staff at Eden Holme met them with kindness, diligence and candour. My father's last months
of life were enhanced way beyond my expectations. Thoughtfulness and compassion extended to all our family and for that I am eternally grateful.

My father was transferred to Woodlands Nursing and Care Home from another care home as he required more specialist care. The care he has received has been exemplary and we were very happy that he was being looked after by the amazing and professional staff. The staff are always attentive to his needs,
very professional in their work, showing patience and love. I cannot thank the staff enough for all they did for my dad and we are very grateful and fortunate that he spent his last days in such a wonderful and loving care home. Thanks again to all the wonderful staff at Woodlands for taking care of our dad.

When my gran got taken ill and came out of the hospital and got sent to the care home, every time I visited they couldn't do enough for my gran. Amazing friendly staff and management. Daily updates with phone calls/emergencies if anything happened. Thank you for everything.

My mum has been in the home, now in her third week. The staff are very patient and kind to my mum especially as she is very demanding. A special thanks to the staff and the laundry lady, who has not only done her laundry but gone over and above changing Mum's bedding. I don't know everyone's name but
also special thanks to the nurse for her patience.
The manager has been amazing in welcoming Mum and her family to the home.

Dad, having been placed in two previous homes, and I were both wary and hesitant about him moving to the Woodlands Nursing and Care Home. How wrong was I, staff were welcoming, it is spotlessly clean and without a shadow of a doubt, they care. Dad is a person, not a number and he is treated with the
utmost care and dignity. I suspect, like most homes, they are understaffed and yet always find time to speak, inform and, with complete understanding, express Dad's condition. Finally, I have to explain that he is not an ideal resident to care for.

I am very pleased with the quality of care in looking after my mum. Nothing could be better. Although Mum can be a challenge sometimes, the staff have always treated her with respect and she enjoys the banter and jokes with them! She has settled well and seems happy. The staff work hard but always find

Absolutely wonderful one-to-one care since my mum moved into this home a week ago. As a daughter, I couldn't do any better myself. I almost daren't hope it will continue like this after a horrendous experience at a previous home. Food is well thought out and beautifully presented, even though Mum is
on a soft diet. I cannot thank everyone enough.

When I arrived, my grandma was listening to music with her key worker and looking through her memory book. It was great to see her looking happy. The one-to-one care is excellent. Her carer cannot do enough for her; his patience is endless. We are so pleased she moved to this home, there is such a change
in her mood, she seems much happier now. Amazingly, my grandma is now eating again, this is due to the patience of her carer. It's so comforting to know she is content and cared for.

I came to see my mother-in-law today and cannot believe the change in her (for the better). She just wanted to die in her former home, now she is eating, drinking and singing. I think (I know) this change is due to the one-to-one care she is receiving. The bloke is amazing and their bond is clear to
see and lovely to watch.

My partner's grandson has been receiving one-to-one care here and the staff are fantastic. Very enthusiastic and always going the extra mile. Since he has been receiving one-to-one care I feel he has gained a new life and now has his shining personality back and is now enjoying life again and eating

My brother-in-law was at the care home until his house got cleared, the staff looked after him with so much compassion. We visited often and he was always telling us about the lovely people working there. We had some concerns about him not eating and drinking well and the manager kept us informed and
showed us all the meals and drinks he was having when we were asking during visits. I particularly liked the garden. Parking can be difficult at busy times but I'm guessing they have a lot of staff working there.

As a family, we are very grateful to all staff working at the home. My dad spent a short time at Woodlands, as he was end of life, but he was looked after by all staff, from the manager, nurses, carers and everyone else. Visiting was easy and we were all made very welcome, the staff always checking
on us and offering drinks. I only visited a handful of times, as I live down South, but my sister used to come every day and she had nothing but praise for the staff. Thank you all for your dedication and care offered to not only our dad but to all his family.

The home strives to always provide a family atmosphere between staff, residents and their family members.
We are sorry for your loss and know that this can be a challenging time for your family. We are deeply saddened by the passing of your dad and know that he will be missed and fondly remembered by many.
