Stocks Hall St Helens, is a State of the Art Home providing Excellent, Individualised, Specialised Care for adults, eighteen years onwards. It has 54 beautiful, generously proportioned, light rooms (all with en suite facilities) decorated to individual taste. A selection of the rooms have overhead tracking hoists. Jacuzzi rooms and spa bath facilities are provided. In the grounds of the Home is an activities cabin, hosting many pleasurable activities. The Home has both tranquil and working garden areas. It is superbly situated in a quiet residential area overlooking the cricket green. Julie has nursed for over 20 years in the NHS and private sector and has considerable management experience. She is a Registered Nurse with many additional qualifications including NVQs in management, a number of Nursing Certificates such as Dementia Care, Pallative Care and Julie is also an Internal Verifier for NVQ candidates as well as a Mentor for student nurses.

Julie has worked for Stocks Hall Nursing and Care Group for 8 years, firstly as part-time nurse at our Skelmersdale Home on a unit for the frail elderly, and then went on to manage Andrew Smith House in Nelson until September 2007. In her 3 years at Nelson she ran a 30 bed unit for elderly residents needing nursing and residential care and also both set up and managed a 7 bed Intermediate Care Unit, a 10 bed unit for adults with a physical disability and a 12 bed Dementia Unit increasing the Home to 60 beds in total. The Home received an excellent rating from CSCI and served a diverse client group.

Julie is approaching managing the Home in St Helens with her usual blend of professionalism and enthusiasm. The Home has 4 specialist units which cater for adults from the age of 18 with a physical disability, learning disability or early onset Dementia. Julie and her team are committed to ensuring that a quality service is provided in each area
