My mother stayed here for 2 weeks respite while family were on holiday.
Mam was well cared for and enjoyed her time there especially the food.
Mam was underweight when she arrived but put almost 3 pounds on during her stay.

We wouldn't hesitate to use this home in future.

My sister-in-law became a resident of Maple Lodge almost 7 years ago. She has been treated with respect and received care to the highest standard. She passed away recently, and the staff have been fantastic with their support. This is a small care home and is run with great professionalism and care. I would not hesitate to recommend this home.

I wanted to share a wonderful experience I had with George last Sunday. The staff had mentioned several times that it was possible to have lunch with him, but we hadn't taken them up on it-until now. We spoke to the staff about arranging Sunday lunch with George, and they set up the small lounge just for us. Our dinners were brought to us, the TV was on, and we enjoyed a beautiful, homely Sunday lunch together.

The dessert, a trifle, was absolutely delicious. Nothing was too much trouble, and the staff kept checking in to make sure we had everything we needed. It was such a lovely experience that we've already arranged to do it again. Thank you so much!

Overall Experience

The home excelled in every aspect, both for residents and for their family members. It provided a wonderful, professional, efficient experience, the staff were so competent but at the same time very friendly and compassionate. Vera (Mother) spent the final three years of her life in a friendly, warm environment that catered for her every need and without doubt prolonged her life, and I can only thank everyone connected to Maple Lodge.

I would like to thank all the staff at Maple Maple Lodge home for the outstanding, amazing care that was given to my nana Rose throughout her time living here; the care didn't go unnoticed by myself and my family. This was a big choice to make for the family on putting her into a care home, but from the day meeting the staff and going for a look around we just knew this home was the one for my nana, the staff always made time for her and always asked if she wanted to join in on activities that was happening within the home thanks so much for been so supportive 5*

My mum has been a resident at Maple Lodge for over 2 years now. She has had a lot of health and emotional issues to contend with during this time, as have my brother and myself, on her journey. We have always found staff helpful and considerate, and willing to listen and advise.

My mam moved there middle March 2025, she came straight from hospital as was unsafe to go back home recently diagnosed with vascular Parkinsonism. All staff and management were excellent and made mam feel welcome and at home straight away. Immediately staff were sorting her care plan and finding out about what her likes and dislikes were. All staff came across so caring and actually interested in my mam. I hadn't seen my mam smile in so long prior to being in maple lodge and within days of being there she hasn't stopped smiling and lives all the activities that go on.

My mother in law was a respite resident throughout March and at 94 and suffering from dementia the family were concerned as to how she would accept this move from her own home. The staff here helped to ensure she soon settled and the care she received was excellent. She particularly enjoyed her meals and the culinary standard was really good. Due to poor sight and mobility issues she couldn't join in all the activities but did enjoy the music and dancing. Overall, the family were delighted with the care, understanding and help she received.

I cant speak more highly of Maple Lodge.
The are home is very well run. Managers are accessible and approachable. They are as concerned about my friends welfare as I am. They create an atmosphere of home form home.

My friend couldn't be happier. She is treated as an individual, always with respect, dignity and concern. All staff, at all levels, make a point of getting to know her. I have equally good relationships with office and support staff as carers. Maple Lodge is a family and deserves the accolades it has achieved.

What a special place Maple Lodge is.
I was always happy with Mam's care. However, it's only when you spend an extended time in Maple Lodge that you get a full picture of the hard work dedication and love that exists within the home. Mam had continuity of care for over seven years with staff.
Management and staff went above and beyond during both lockdowns to make sure that contact was maintained in very difficult circumstances for all.
In my mom's final days, I saw that she was treated with love and dignity by all those who were caring for her and I would recommend Maple Lodge 100%.
I'm really going to miss you all and wish you all the very best for the future. My mum would approve of every word I've written.

Thank you!

My mum has settled in Maple Lodge. She even calls it her flat. Her room is bright and spacious, has a lovely view, even has horses in the garden. She gets on really well with all the staff and is always happy to see them. Her room is always kept clean and tidy and all her personal needs are met. She enjoys all her meals and has put on weight. She is happy and content.

My mum was on the elderly mentally infirm nursing floor of Maple Lodge for over five years. In that time she was really well looked after by very caring staff. Often when I visited I would see staff give her a hug and it was a great comfort to see her being treated so warmly. The home ran a good programme of activities including visiting singers.

Excellent care home, my mother has been in since January 2024. The care and staff are at the highest level always friendly and always there to share any problems or questions, the residents are very well looked after there are always activities for them to do, and they display plenty of pics on social media, so when I am at work I can still see that my mother is getting the highest care which helps me know that my mother is in a great care home, can't thank the manager and staff enough for her care she is receiving.
