Situated in a residential area, this home is a modern purpose built home proving a high standard of residential care, residential and nursing care for people with dementia and care for people with learning disabilities. They also provide respite care to give home carers a much needed break and day care.

Professionals provide person centred care in three homely and welcoming units. The home is staffed by a team of professional registered nurses and dedicated carers who all have experience and training.

It's my experience that the standard of care is extremely good. The empathy and understanding shown by the staff towards those residents who can't put a meaningful sentence together, and are often unable to ask for, or even know that they need help in one form or another is first class.

I am extremely happy about the care my father receives. They keep me fully informed of his care plan, needs etc. The staff are attentive to all residents. The premises are kept to a high standard. I appreciate the difficult job staff do yet they make it look so easy. I am pleased to have been recommended

The Staff are always welcoming. My mam is very settled and I feel grateful that she is getting the best care. She is warm, fed, and safe and that means the world to me. The staff at Peterlee are excellent, nothing is too much trouble. As soon as you come in you are greeted by friendly faces. You can see how well run the home is and how much the residents enjoy being there. There is always lots going on activity-wise with singers and trips out, it is clear the residents
are stimulated.
It is always spotless, no odours. The food is proper home-cooked meals and looks very tasty and nutritious. Overall great home!

I have been the Registered Manager at Peterlee Care Home since August 2021 and I have over 18 years of experience working with the elderly. I oversee the day-to-day running of the home. I value the members of staff who make a very strong team, with many having been employed for a considerable amount of time, across all departments. I am passionate about providing a person-centred approach to care, ensuring a high service of care is maintained at all times, all staff within the home have completed mandatory training and work to high standards of care at all levels. The residents within the home have individual needs which are met by highly trained staff, I will endeavour to provide a high-quality service where residents and their families are priority.
