The Review Score of 9.9 (maximum of 10) for The Erskine Park Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  • a) The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 8 Reviews over all time. This Average Rating is also the rating value for The Erskine Park Home in Google's Search Results - more info

  • b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5 out of 5 from 8 positive Reviews in the last 12 months.

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating of all Reviews over all time. For each review the Care Home / service is rated Excellent, Good, Satisfactory, Poor or Very Poor on a number of areas eg Staff, Management etc. The Care Home receives points for each rating as follows: Excellent = 5. Good = 4. Satisfactory = 3. Poor = 2. Very Poor = 1. These points are added up and then divided by the total number of completed ratings to generate the average rating.

    The Average Rating of 4.896 for The Erskine Park Home is calculated as follows: ( (87 Excellents x 5) + (8 Goods x 4) + (1 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 96 Ratings = 4.896

  • b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 12 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with 'Extremely Likely' or 'Likely' in answer to the question 'How likely are you to recommend this Care Home to friends and family if they needed similar care or treatment?'

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 5 Positive Reviews, 3 points for the first Positive Review and then 0.25 Points for each of the next 4 Positive Reviews.

    2. 1 point is available for reaching a target number of Positive Reviews based on 20% of the number of registered maximum number of service users. If the target is partially reached then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home with 50 registered maximum number of service users has a target of 10 Positive Reviews, if it has 10 or more Positive Reviews it will receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews will receive 0.7 points.

The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for The Erskine Park Home is based on 8 positive Reviews in the last 12 months and is calculated as follows:

    1. 3 + 0.25 + 0.25 + 0.25 + 0.25 = 4

    2. Target of 8 positive Reviews (40 registered maximum number of service users ÷ 5). 8 Reviews ÷ 8 Target = 1.000

  • When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

What can I say, this is as close to my dad's own home as I could ask for.
The staff and management are fantastic, the standard of care is excellent, the home is spotless and the staff are amazing with everyone in my dad's unit.
I would not hesitate to say if you are looking for somewhere for your relative to stay you couldn't do better than here.

After experiencing extremely poor dementia care within another Renfrewshire care home we were delighted when my father was accepted into Erskine Park Home. When we go to visit him now we think of visiting him at his home as opposed to visiting him in a home. The Management and staff within Erskine are fabulous and the quality of care is superb. The monthly activity calendar at Erskine Park Home is always full and well supported and the coordinators and volunteers are excellent. The rooms are spacious and well furnished with all looking onto a courtyard garden. I would have no doubt in recommending anyone considering Erskine Park Home. We all feel part of a family and can enjoy every precious moment we have left together. Well done.

My Mother entered Park House in August 2013 after having two stays in other care homes that failed her. Her life has changed remarkably since Park House. The staff are attentive and well trained in dementia nursing. They have a wonderful manner with her and treat her as a person who has had a long and interesting life. They allow her space and solitude when she wants it and they have conversations with her and like her. What a joy that is.
They laugh with her and look after her so well. They telephone my sister and I when the GP calls and give us regular updates on her condition.
We could not be happier now after years of anxiety about her future.

My Mother has been resident for over 3 years and in her 94th year is enjoying a quality of life I could not provide any other way. The staff at Erskine Park are like extended family and they look after Mum at the highest standard. Nursing and Care staff are motivated and Well trained. The Manager, Administrator, Recreation Team, Physio Team and Volunteers create a fantastic atmosphere lots going on for residents who need activities for wellbeing. A very happy home where you are encouraged to take part and join in. I feel secure in the knowledge that the staff care and are very proud of the job they do. It is the hardest decision of all to place your loved one in the care of others. The facilities of this home are great, purpose built private rooms with en suite wet rooms, the home is kept spotless by a wonderful housekeeping team who always are friendly and engage residents and visitors alike.
I cannot thank the Manager and Staff enough for all that they do for Mum and our family.

This care home, in my opinion, is outstanding. Staff, carers, nurses, admin staff are all highly trained in dementia nursing, and try to and succeed in making every resident special. The entertainment and outings far surpass other establishments having had my relative in two previous homes. Residents families feel happy and secure in knowing that their relative is receiving first class care.

My husband has been in 'The Erskine Park Home' since October 2014. Before dementia claimed him, he was a 'captain of industry' and his sole interest was overseeing his many and varied businesses. He never had any interest in the many activities on offer in Erskine and by the time he became a resident, he was unable to persue his real interest - Business. The staff have tried so hard with him, to no avail and now he needs 24 hour nursing care and is in bed all the time because sitting for any length of time exacerbates his pressure sores. These are well cared for and seem to be improving. He has not worked since January 2015 when he fractured his hip and would not accept any physiotherapy.
