My father has been a resident here for around 18 months. Overall, I am satisfied with the care he receives, and he appears comfortable and well looked after when I visit. The manager is approachable, responsive and helpful, and concerns raised by family members are taken seriously. For example, my father is profoundly deaf, and there was a period when his hearing aids were frequently missing or not being worn. After discussions with management, we addressed this issue. On recent visits, he has consistently had his hearing aids in place, which has made a significant difference to his quality of life. Staff turnover appears relatively high, although several long serving members of staff provide valuable continuity and know residents well. Occasionally my father's clothing is marked by food or drink spills but this is undestandable given the challenges of caring for elderly residents. The commual areas have recently been refurbished and are much improved. Residents benefit from activities such as visiting animals, singing sessions and occasional outtings. There is also a pleasant garden area which residents can enjoy in good weather. Overall, I appreciate the care and support provided and would like to thank the staff for their efforts.

The care home was found for me by my daughters who looked at several other establishments. It has a pleasant outlook (from my room) over the garden which we are unable to use at present, as there is quite a bit of modernisation and improvements going on in the communal sitting room, which leads out to the garden. It would be lovely to have French Doors leading straight from my room to the garden.

My Mum became a resident of Whitefield Lodge in January 2018. There have been considerable changes throughout the years, in terms of staff, management, owners, decor and not least COVID! However, currently, I'm delighted with the support and care my Mum receives. Staff try to ensure my Mum is well turned out (most of the time) although their job is not easy. During the years, my Mum's health and mobility have declined, together with her communication skills. I have found the staff to be very patient and kind with her, many have told me that they treat her and other residents, as they would their own grandparent. - What more could you ask for? The fact that my Mum has lived there for so long is down to the loving care, she receives! Management is excellent; they have an open door policy! If I have any concerns I know that they will be dealt with quickly and effectively, which includes receiving feedback! I would highly recommend Whitefield Lodge to anyone looking for a care home.

Our mum has been thriving at Whitefield for a few years now. It has excellent grounds and beautiful setting, and her room is homely and comfortable, a home from home. We have found her to be generally contented there, safe, clean and very well cared for. It feels like a good atmosphere. The staff are very approachable. The manager recently came to post from being a nurse there. He is a highly experienced and valued presence in the care home and we think we and they are very lucky to have him. The food is sometimes excellent, but often a bit 'boring', like school dinners. The activities are varied, there are outings when the bus is in service, book club, crafts, singing, afternoon teas, nature walks and more, though as a very sociable person our mum needs more, she goes out with friends & to church. They gladly accommodate this, once providing a chaperone to a wedding. They consider quality of life generally as a high priority. We have full confidence that she's in the right place.

My mum has been in Whitefield for over 2 yrs and I have always been made to feel very welcome, the staff are very friendly and you can have a good laugh with them and my mum enjoys that as well, I sometimes get involved with the activities which can be fun. The home and bedroom are always clean and tidy, laundry done and put away, very happy knowing my mum is well cared for

The staff from upstairs are fabulous and take care of my gran like she’s their family. Some of the entertainment team are great and my gran sometimes annoys taking part in activities. I have seen some meals that I haven’t thought looked the best but otherwise been fine. Staff have always made me feel welcome. Communication between management and families could be improved to keep families updated with what’s happening.

I am delighted to provide a review of Whitefield Lodge, Lennoxtown. My mother moved here in October 2022. From the outset, the staff have gone above and beyond to make her transition into a care home as smooth and calm as possible. Every day, mum receives fantastic personal care, always looks clean, well-groomed and presentable, she is closely monitored on food and fluids, has appropriate interaction and stimulation and I leave with a good feeling - knowing that she is safe. I would like to express my deepest thanks to the four ladies who always think of 'extra' treats and really excel when it comes to knowing my mum, and truly wanting the very best for her.

Although I have only experienced the home for a short period of time I have found all the staff that I have encountered to be always helpful and professional in the care of my wife, they always take time to let me know how my wife has been from the previous visits. The staff have taken away any anxiety that goes with the placing of a loved one into care and this shows through my wife's actions which suggests she has settled in well.

I was so scared of the thought of putting my grandpa into care but I am so happy I went through with it because he is the happiest he has been in a long while. I was the one caring for him and now I can get on with my day-to-day life without worrying about his safety.

I visit a lot and am close to all the staff and they always fill me in if there are any issues with how my mum is coping. I do feel that the staff do not get paid enough for the job that they do, some of the staff go over and beyond in their duties.

Staff amazing at what they do. Staff overworked, on their feet from the moment they walk through the door until they leave at the end of shift. I’m talking about all staff, from carers, handyman, gardener, cleaners and cooks. Staff need to be valued more from the management and management need more help/support from the powers that be at Four Seasons. Management need more funding for staff, upkeep/repairs of the home, a new bus and more funding for residents' activities. More activities are needed to stimulate all residents. More interaction for residents who are in bed. It's so important that the care home holds on to the long-term members of staff as they are fantastic at what they do and they quite clearly want to be in the job. These long term carers know the needs of the residents and the residents know them which is so important as the residents need to see these familiar carer's faces on a daily basis. These carers treat the residents like they were their own mother or father and this speaks volumes.

My grandfather has resided at Whitefield Lodge since March 2021. His care and medical needs have been well catered for. The main negative is the lack of accessibility for the family to visit the care home due to current Covid restrictions. Hopefully, this is something that will improve with time.

My Mum has settled in very well and is happy here. She says the staff are all very nice and helpful. I have found the staff friendly and helpful on my visits and with telephone enquiries. My Mum has been looked after very well and we have been able to bring a lot of her books, pictures, ornaments and plants to make her feel at home.
