Wonderful caring, friendly environment. Staff are excellent, nothing is too much trouble. Mum has felt extremely safe and secure in this environment, with just the correct balance of professionalism, care and friendliness.

Overall Experience

My father became a resident in this home after some difficult weeks and the care and devotion he received from all the staff was amazing. He was treated with dignity and respect as a 94 year old gentleman should be and nothing was too much trouble. Even though my father was at Fairmile for a relatively short time and sadly was not able to enjoy all the facilities and entertainment provided, that time was made very special for him and us as a family. I cannot express how grateful we are to all at Fairmile and the help given to us throughout, especially the loving care at the end of my father's life. I would have no hesitation in recommending this home to anyone who has to make the difficult decision of placing a loved one into a home. I would just like to say thank you again for everything and for making such a sad time a little easier with your support.

The first thing that struck me was the warmth of the staff - not simply a corporate smile, but a genuine feeling of wanting to do the best for residents and making guests welcome. The bedrooms are large and light - they have a hotel feel but not excessively so. The public rooms and dining areas are open and not too large giving a sense of community and this is enhanced by the good quality and range of activities provided 7 days a week. All the nursing and health care staff we deal with have been excellent. No single care/nursing home will ever satisfy everyone's needs, but I'd recommend visiting Fairmile as I found this a stand out home compared to the others I've viewed.

My Mother went to Fairmile Grange for respite care. Having viewed alternatives in the local area this was head and shoulders above anything else. The staff without exception were excellent and my mother really enjoyed her stay. So much so in fact that she will be going for day care in the future on a regular basis.

I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Fairmile Grange to anybody who will listen!

I am so glad I found this place. Having to put my mum in a home for the first time for some well needed respite care I wasn't sure what to expect by I need not of worried. The first person I spoke to who was so lovely, so friendly who explained things to me. We went to look at the home the next day to make sure were happy & were shown around by a lady who was also very friendly. The home is lovely the décor fresh & clean looking & very welcoming. My mum was understandably a bit apprehensive about going into a home but when I called them a few days later to see how she was getting on and found she was very happy & content said there was no rush to pick her up as would to stay as long as possible & make the best of her stay! I have no hesitation in recommending Fairmile Grange & hope to be using them again in the new future.

Overall Experience

My husband & I visited Fairmile Grange in preparation for his mother being discharged from hospital following a recent massive stroke. Any qualms we had about the home's ability to provide for her incredibly extensive nursing needs disappeared within minutes of talking to the Admissions Advisor. It quickly became clear that we would have no worries about anything ......................... from her handling care and medication right through to very specific dietary requirements. Mum's level of awareness and communication is very basic, but we felt extremely confident that she would be stimulated in this superb environment and - most importantly - her dignity would be respected at all times. Moreover, we felt that she would be happy being cared for by such friendly and attentive staff. Thank you for such a welcoming and informative viewing.

I can't recommend Fairmile Grange highly enough. The actual accommodation is brand new and very spacious. The rooms are an exceptional size with their own personalised touch. The communal areas are really well maintained and have a very sociable but practical feel. I have viewed many homes in the area and this is by far the best.

Apart from the actual accommodation, the staff have so far been exceptional. They have really understood my mum's needs and have been very communicative with me as a concerned daughter.

Overall, after two weeks, I am extremely happy and I hope that my mum continues to thrive as she is doing so right now.

The home is light and airy with plenty of room to sit and walkabout. Bedrooms good size with every facility and no smell of urine anywhere. The staff are always cheerful and ready to be of assistance. The residents have things to do and there are plenty of comfortable seats to sit on with a communal television if they so wish, as well as one in their bedroom. It is more like a comfortable 4-star hotel than care home.
