Fees are subject to a pre-admission needs assessment which is required to fully understand the level of care and support required by each individual. Premium rooms normally require an additional charge. Nursing fees include the Funded Nursing Contribution (FNC) if you are eligible.

Mum has been living in this care home for about 5 weeks now and has settled in very well. She has dementia and so there is alway confusion about why she is here and where is she going next, but the difference in her going from her home where she was lonely, anxious and confused to the care home is wonderful to see. The carers and nursing staff are so kind and approachable and they are so good and remembering names and people that it make you feel immediately at home. The accommodation is of a very high standard and everything is kept clean and looking at its best. The dining room and meals are wonderful, the entertainment laid on for the residents is spot on. I am hugely impressed. Of course it is very expensive, but when you see the number of staff and effort put into engaging and with the residents and the upkeep of the accommodation it is a price worth paying.

All sort of drinks ranging from different fruit juices to Prosecco and tea and coffee. There was also a big spread of sandwiches and the most delicious lemon drizzle birthday cake. The carers gave her a birthday card signed by all of them and the most delightful present. The staff were happy and smiling and nothing was too much trouble. All of us enjoyed it so much. We could not have wished for a better party for her even in a 5 star hotel.

As Home Manager, the most important part of my role is to make sure residents feel safe.
A big part of what I do is supporting my team. In particular, helping them navigate the healthcare sector, which is always growing and developing. With that in mind, you also need to be well organised and approachable. It helps that I can draw on my 15 years of experience and level five qualification in leadership.
When I first joined Care UK, I did so because its ethos reflected my own values and beliefs. A career highlight for me is the fact I have been able to work my way up through dedication and learning. Now, I feel proud to be part of a strong team that I have also helped grow. For us, it is about celebrating each other’s achievements and seeing how we can do even better.
Every day is different, but my favourite part is being able to spend time with residents and their families. I love finding out about their lives, getting to know them and listening to their wealth of knowledge.
Outside of work, we are an adventurous family and enjoy road trips and holidays. Having a very sporty son also means we spend a lot of time out and about supporting his activities.
The care home lists weekly fees per person from £1,888 for residential care (respite from £2,124), from £1,983 for residential dementia care (respite from £2,230), from £2,168 for nursing care (respite from £2,439) and from £2,263 for nursing dementia care (respite from £2,545). Funding accepted: Self-Funding (Private), Local Authority with Top-up, Local Authority, NHS Continuing Healthcare (CHC).
