Reviews

8.4 Mountview Care Home has a Review Score of 8.4 (8.402)

The Review Score of 8.4 (maximum of 10) for Mountview Care Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  • a) The Average Rating is 5 out of 5 from 2 Reviews over all time. This Average Rating is also the rating value for Mountview Care Home in Google's Search Results - more info

  • b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 3.4 out of 5 from 2 positive Reviews in the last 12 months.

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating of all Reviews over all time. For each review the Care Home / service is rated Excellent, Good, Satisfactory, Poor or Very Poor on a number of areas eg Staff, Management etc. The Care Home receives points for each rating as follows: Excellent = 5. Good = 4. Satisfactory = 3. Poor = 2. Very Poor = 1. These points are added up and then divided by the total number of completed ratings to generate the average rating.

    The Average Rating of 5 for Mountview Care Home is calculated as follows: ( (24 Excellents x 5) ) ÷ 24 Ratings = 5

  • b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 12 months. If there are no Positive Reviews in the last 12 months, then 2.5 points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 2 years. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with 'Extremely Likely' or 'Likely' in answer to the question 'How likely are you to recommend this Care Home to friends and family if they needed similar care or treatment?'

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 5 Positive Reviews, 3 points for the first Positive Review and then 0.25 Points for each of the next 4 Positive Reviews.

    2. 1 point is available for reaching a target number of Positive Reviews based on 20% of the number of registered maximum number of service users. If the target is partially reached then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home with 50 registered maximum number of service users has a target of 10 Positive Reviews, if it has 10 or more Positive Reviews it will receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews will receive 0.7 points.

    3. If there are no Positive Reviews in the last 12 months, then 2.5 points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 2 years. The calculation is the same as above, except the points are divided by 2.

The 3.402 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Mountview Care Home is based on 2 positive Reviews in the last 12 months and is calculated as follows:

    1. 3 + 0.25 = 3.25

    2. Target of 13.2 positive Reviews (66 registered maximum number of service users ÷ 5). 2 Reviews ÷ 13.2 Target = 0.152

  • When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

What a wonderful home with wonderful staff. Nothing is too much trouble and the staff go way above and beyond to make sure all the residents are well cared for and most importantly that they are happy. Time is taken to understand each and every resident and a wide and varied activity programme makes sure that they always have something to look forward to. The cinema is a fantastic asset and means we can enjoy films as a family once again in a real cinema, something we haven't been able to do for years!!

We could not be more pleased with the standard of care at Mountview, and have no hesitation in entrusting Dad's care to the team.

The facility is brand new and extremely clean and very well appointed, it has more of a feel of a 5 star hotel than a care home!

Every member of staff we have met have been friendly and very professional. We are delighted to have found a care home with such high standards.

Description:

Catherine Goddard joined Ideal Carehomes in September 2016 and is Regional Activities Executive for the Midlands and North West areas and she works closely with Ideal Carehomes’ other Regional Activities Executive.

Catherine started her journey in the care sector seven years ago, supporting people in their own homes. She moved to work within a residential care setting and found that she particularly enjoyed arranging activities for the residents, and seeing the benefit these can have. As Regional Activities Executive for Ideal Carehomes, Catherine works with Home Manager’s to oversee the various activities within each home. All of which bring stimulating, purposeful, fun and creative things to do for our Midlands residents.

Catherine believes that activities are central to excellent care and even that they can bring families and loved ones together again, especially when dementia is involved. She is keen to try out new things and holds regular social committee meetings in each home to find out what the resident’s would like to do in the upcoming months.
