Rokewood Court is a purpose built care home in lovely quiet surroundings and we chose it by recommendation from a resident's family. The staff are always welcoming and happy to update you and answer any questions about the residents. They organise really good and very varied activities - some in the
home and some out and about - which debunks the usual perception of care homes with people sitting round in a circle doing nothing. The rooms are very nicely decorated and furnished - it looks more like a hotel than a care home. Residents are encouraged to live their best lives which is really important when you don't have the mental capacity or mobility to do things on your own. I would definitely recommend Rokewood to anyone looking for a care home.

From being very apprehensive about entering Rokewood Court, I very quickly settled down to a very happy five weeks of respite care here! Everybody was extremely friendly, charming, helpful and always very respectful and professional. Without any doubt, I would have no hesitation in coming back here
if the situation arose! And equally, I would have no hesitation in also recommending Rokewood Court to other people seeking an excellent care home in a beautiful place!

I am so glad that we chose Rokewood Court for my father. The excellent facilities are matched by the quality of care; friendly, personal, and very kind. In his first week, Dad has been on two outings and had a beautiful handmade birthday cake. He is very comfortable, settling in well and we enjoy our
visits to see him. We are also looking forward to regular trips with him to the in-house cinema!

This care home is absolutely lovely, it was a big transition moving my mother into it, but she seems very happy. We had one or two communication issues early on e.g. trying to find out if she was ok after a fall but not getting a callback. This has been passed on to the manager and I feel confident
this shouldn't happen again.
I do love how friendly all the staff are and it's something mum comments on.
The facilities are outstanding and, having regular relatives and residents meetings means that people feel they have a channel of communication to discuss any issues.
We are very pleased we chose Rokewood Court for mum's care.

My mother was a resident of Rokewood Court for a brief four weeks before she passed away there. Every staff member involved in each stage of the introduction, admission, residence and final passing was extremely professional, efficient and caring.
I would not hesitate to recommend Rokewood to anyone
looking for dementia care. Thanks to all.

I could not fault my stay at Rokewood Court. This was respite care for the duration of two weeks. The staff were very welcoming, always pleasant and efficient and my needs were very well catered for.I have always been a late riser and the house was happy for me to have my breakfast at a time of my choosing.
The food was delicious and I even put on weight during my stay. The activities that were put on regularly were fun and stimulating. I would not hesitate to go back.

My mother has now been a resident of Rokewood for nearly six months and I can't thank the staff enough for their amazing care. Mum has late-stage Dementia and I was initially worried as to how she would adapt to a new living environment. However, my first introduction to Rokewood was so warm and welcoming
that I felt that this was the right choice for Mum. The whole process of arranging Mum's move to the home was extremely thorough and efficient and upon arrival, she was immediately put at ease by everyone. From day one she has received brilliant support and care and is encouraged to partake in daily activities which are always fun and interactive. We celebrated her birthday in November and everything was done by the team to make it a very special day. Top marks to the catering team for making such an exquisite birthday cake! Mum has a lovely room and her environment is safe and very homely. The staff bring out the best in Mum which, I know, can't always be easy. Thank you all so much.

From the initial phone call to settling Mum into the home, all aspects of administration have been handled very well. The admissions advisor immediately understood what we were looking for and how we wanted Mum to be cared for. The staff were all so welcoming and made Mum the centre of attention which
comforted us, knowing we made the right decision to make Rokewood Court Care Home her new home. Her smile on her face says it all!

When the care home we had booked for my father for respite care had a Covid outbreak shortly before my stepmother was due to go away, she visited five care homes in a day to try and find another. So pleased she found Rokewood Court as it has proved outstanding and far superior to any other we had seen.
A member of staff came to assess my father the following day (he has a rare form of Alzheimer's, so has very special needs) and the home was just brilliant from start to finish. My stepmother was abroad so could not visit him, but I popped in many times over the fortnight he stayed and kept her updated. Both I and my husband were very impressed by Rokewood Court, not just for the lovely quiet location, great facilities and lovely room dad had, but also for the lovely caring, patient carers who were so good with dad.
It was very secure there, but there were also options for dad to join in activities inside and outside the care home. Really excellent care.

My mother never wanted to go to a care home but has settled in very well and loves her surroundings. I found the whole process easy and the admissions manager very helpful. All the staff are so kind and caring and I do not have any worries, if I have to go away I know she will be well cared for. Mum
celebrated a special birthday within the first two weeks of arriving and the staff organised a wonderful party for us and residents, thank you.

This was the second time that my aunt had decided to have respite care at Rokewood Court. The Admissions Advisor responded quickly to my email about the availability of rooms for my aunt and they also arranged for her to go in very quickly. Prior to her stay, a thorough assessment was conducted to
ensure that all her needs would be met, including likes and dislikes. On arrival at Rokewood Court staff put her immediately at ease; my aunt is always anxious when it comes to leaving her home these days due to her Alzheimer’s and Vascular Dementia. On the two occasions that my aunt has stayed at Rokewood Court, she has told me that she cannot find fault with anything. She feels cared for and safe. She has never mentioned anything negative. All of this is very reassuring for me as I live a long way away from my aunt and I am often abroad. When my aunt is at Rokewood Court, I know that she is in safe hands and is happy.

Current Review Score: 9.7 (9.741)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.7 (9.741) out of 10 for Rokewood Court is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 15 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.9 out of 5 from 15 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.866 for Rokewood Court is calculated as follows: ( (158 Excellents x 5) + (18 Goods x 4) + (3 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 179 Ratings = 4.866
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.875 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Rokewood Court is based on 15 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 3.875
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 64 registered maximum number of service users is 12.8, which has been reached with 15 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

General Manager – Residential Care Home

As the General Manager of Rokewood Court, I lead with purpose, compassion, and an unwavering commitment to excellence. My role is to ensure every resident feels safe, respected, and truly at home. I oversee all aspects of the home’s operations—from nurturing a high-performing team to upholding the highest standards of care—so families can rest assured their loved ones are in capable, caring hands.

My Experience

With a career dedicated to care home management, I bring deep expertise in person-centred care and team leadership. I’ve worked closely with residents, families, and staff to create environments where dignity, empathy, and well-being are at the heart of everything we do. I’m passionate about developing my team, fostering a culture of kindness and professionalism, and ensuring every resident receives both the practical support and emotional connection they deserve. Helping people live fulfilling, comfortable lives isn’t just my job—it’s my calling.

About Me

Away from work, I’m a devoted family person and a lover of travel and creativity. I find joy in drawing and caring for my lively household of pets—including Simba the cat, Gonzo the tortoise, and a flock of cheerful chickens. They remind me daily of the importance of warmth, character, and connection—values I bring into the home I manage.

Job Title: Deputy Manager Joined: 2022

I qualified as a teacher in 2005, but my path changed in 2012 when I came to the UK and started working in the care sector as a care assistant. I have experience in both nursing and residential care homes which enabled me to gain more in-depth knowledge of differing care needs. I’m a great believer that no two residents are the same and that each has differing needs, desires and preferences.

I have developed through training and practice and besides being a care assistant, I have been an activity coordinator, and a team leader and I currently have over 3 years of experience as a Deputy Manager.

My biggest achievement to date has been occupying a position as Acting Manager in my previous workplace. It was a very rewarding position, full of new challenges from which I have learnt a lot and gained a good understanding of the management role in a care home which I look forward to bringing to Rokewood Court. I am currently working on my Leadership and Management level 5 Diploma, and I am using every opportunity to share my experience with the team and to get involved in our resident's care. I am very passionate about elderly and Dementia care which I aim to pass on to the rest of the team. The reason I started working with Rokewood Court and Cinnamon Care Collection is that we are all united and share the same values: passion, dedication and respect. I look forward to meeting you.

What I Do

I help families and potential residents navigate the deeply personal and often emotional journey of considering a care home for their loved ones. With empathy and professionalism, I provide guidance, answer questions, and offer reassurance during what can be an overwhelming time. I consider it a true privilege to support people through such significant life decisions.

My Experience

Before my current role, I worked at Eden Court in Battersea for Cinnamon Care Collection, where I had the opportunity to support families and residents in a care home setting, further developing my understanding of the emotional and practical considerations involved in choosing the right care environment.

Before entering the care sector, I worked as a sales consultant in luxury senior living in London. This experience helped me develop strong communication skills, a deep understanding of people’s needs during transitional life stages, and the ability to guide clients through complex, often sensitive decisions — all of which have transferred into my current role.

About me

Outside of work, I love spending time with friends and family, exploring new places, and making the most of any opportunity to travel. These moments keep me grounded and remind me why human connection is at the heart of everything I do.

I am the Hospitality Supervisor here at Rokewood Court. I am responsible for ensuring that our residents have an enjoyable dining experience and that they receive exceptional customer service. I also help to look after our busy Lancaster Cafe and make our lounge areas a pleasant place to relax in.

My experience

I have worked in many roles within the hospitality industry. I was Hospitality Manager at HM Treasury for 5 years, overseeing events at Downing Street. I also worked as an Assistant Conference Manager at Morgan Stanley in Canary Wharf. Earlier in my career, I worked at Addington Palace. This beautiful historic venue hosted elaborate weddings and parties.

About Me

Outside of work, I am a busy mum to 5 beautiful girls. I spend a lot of my time driving them around to various clubs and social activities! In between this and work, I really enjoy meeting my friends for coffee, and I am partial to an occasional spa day. I also love listening to music and playing the piano.
