Rokewood Court Care Home in Kenley, Surrey is a purpose-built luxury care home.

The home offers 64 tastefully decorated furnished rooms with en-suite wet rooms.

Based in a quiet leafy, suburban area; the home is close to the Purley and Kenley mainline stations, close to Kenley Common which covers 139 acres of grassland and ancient woodland, yet the centre of London is only 14 miles to the north.

Visiting

  • Welcome families and friends to visit. Due to Covid restrictions the home request visits to take place in resident's rooms however, there is a quite lounge available for visits if required. The home ask that visitors call Rokewood Court to book visits and ask that meal times are protected. Visitors will be required to evidence a negative lateral flow test on day of visiting and to wear a face mask at all times.

I am so glad that we chose Rokewood Court for my father. The excellent facilities are matched by the quality of care; friendly, personal, and very kind. In his first week, Dad has been on two outings and had a beautiful handmade birthday cake. He is very comfortable, settling in well and we enjoy our
visits to see him. We are also looking forward to regular trips with him to the in-house cinema!

I came to visit my friend here on respite. What a beautiful home. Thought I was in a hotel and the staff were extremely welcoming. My friend was well looked after and particularly enjoyed the food. I am so pleased she has found a wonderful environment for the future.

This care home is absolutely lovely, it was a big transition moving my mother into it, but she seems very happy. We had one or two communication issues early on e.g. trying to find out if she was ok after a fall but not getting a callback. This has been passed on to the manager and I feel confident
this shouldn't happen again.
I do love how friendly all the staff are and it's something mum comments on.
The facilities are outstanding and, having regular relatives and residents meetings means that people feel they have a channel of communication to discuss any issues.
We are very pleased we chose Rokewood Court for mum's care.

My mother was a resident of Rokewood Court for a brief four weeks before she passed away there. Every staff member involved in each stage of the introduction, admission, residence and final passing was extremely professional, efficient and caring.
I would not hesitate to recommend Rokewood to anyone

I could not fault my stay at Rokewood Court. This was respite care for the duration of two weeks. The staff were very welcoming, always pleasant and efficient and my needs were very well catered for.I have always been a late riser and the house was happy for me to have my breakfast at a time of my choosing.
The food was delicious and I even put on weight during my stay. The activities that were put on regularly were fun and stimulating. I would not hesitate to go back.

My mother has now been a resident of Rokewood for nearly six months and I can't thank the staff enough for their amazing care. Mum has late-stage Dementia and I was initially worried as to how she would adapt to a new living environment. However, my first introduction to Rokewood was so warm and welcoming
that I felt that this was the right choice for Mum. The whole process of arranging Mum's move to the home was extremely thorough and efficient and upon arrival, she was immediately put at ease by everyone. From day one she has received brilliant support and care and is encouraged to partake in daily activities which are always fun and interactive. We celebrated her birthday in November and everything was done by the team to make it a very special day. Top marks to the catering team for making such an exquisite birthday cake! Mum has a lovely room and her environment is safe and very homely. The staff bring out the best in Mum which, I know, can't always be easy. Thank you all so much.

From the initial phone call to settling Mum into the home, all aspects of administration have been handled very well. The admissions advisor immediately understood what we were looking for and how we wanted Mum to be cared for. The staff were all so welcoming and made Mum the centre of attention which

When the care home we had booked for my father for respite care had a Covid outbreak shortly before my stepmother was due to go away, she visited five care homes in a day to try and find another. So pleased she found Rokewood Court as it has proved outstanding and far superior to any other we had seen.
A member of staff came to assess my father the following day (he has a rare form of Alzheimer's, so has very special needs) and the home was just brilliant from start to finish. My stepmother was abroad so could not visit him, but I popped in many times over the fortnight he stayed and kept her updated. Both I and my husband were very impressed by Rokewood Court, not just for the lovely quiet location, great facilities and lovely room dad had, but also for the lovely caring, patient carers who were so good with dad.
It was very secure there, but there were also options for dad to join in activities inside and outside the care home. Really excellent care.

My mother never wanted to go to a care home but has settled in very well and loves her surroundings. I found the whole process easy and the admissions manager very helpful. All the staff are so kind and caring and I do not have any worries, if I have to go away I know she will be well cared for. Mum
celebrated a special birthday within the first two weeks of arriving and the staff organised a wonderful party for us and residents, thank you.

This was the second time that my aunt had decided to have respite care at Rokewood Court. The Admissions Advisor responded quickly to my email about the availability of rooms for my aunt and they also arranged for her to go in very quickly. Prior to her stay, a thorough assessment was conducted to
ensure that all her needs would be met, including likes and dislikes. On arrival at Rokewood Court staff put her immediately at ease; my aunt is always anxious when it comes to leaving her home these days due to her Alzheimer’s and Vascular Dementia. On the two occasions that my aunt has stayed at Rokewood Court, she has told me that she cannot find fault with anything. She feels cared for and safe. She has never mentioned anything negative. All of this is very reassuring for me as I live a long way away from my aunt and I am often abroad. When my aunt is at Rokewood Court, I know that she is in safe hands and is happy.

My father has been a resident at Rokewood Court since Nov 21. His condition has sadly deteriorated but the care and compassion shown by the team of carers have given his family total reassurance that, in these difficult times, he is in the very best place for this stage of his illness. His medical needs
have been very well met but, as importantly, he has been treated with respect and dignity, the interaction of carers with our family has been so very supportive and goes well beyond their job description. The team are upbeat, cheerful and attentive but above all their understanding and interaction with dad is constant, despite his complex needs. We are extremely impressed with the Deputy Manager who has repeatedly demonstrated her commitment to encouraging feedback, improve services and provide excellent levels of care for both residents and their families. The manager has ensured that paths of communication to her office are always open and she regularly visits dad.

The Manager and Home Admissions Advisor provided the most thorough admissions/home assessment procedure I have come across and I have had the experience of going through several other home care admission processes/protocols. The only improvement that I think could improve the process is a one pager
that recommends/suggests what residents should or should not bring in terms of belongings when they move in and the request to deliver these prior to moving in so that they can be labelled. Sadly my mother has dementia and whilst she agreed to move in - she changed her mind and she moved out less than 24 hours later.

I am a short-stay resident but from the very first time I set my eyes on Rokewood Court, I have been pleased with my choice. The fixtures, fittings and furniture seem of the highest quality and so is the quality and the lovely variety of the food. The management and staff are courteous and friendly.
So much at home after a few days, I felt that I am among friends. One minor disappointment I came here hoping to lose some weight. I failed miserably.

I am proud to lead a passionate team to deliver personalised quality care for our residents at Rokewood, ensuring they live well in a safe and caring environment.


I started my journey into care when I was 17 years old, caring for my father before he passed. Since then, I have worked in various positions from Care Assistant to Commissioning Registered Manager and hold a level 5 in Health and Social Care Management. I was proud to be the Registered Manager of Rokewood Court when it opened in 2020, and I am very happy to be back as it remains close to my heart.


When I am not busy working, I enjoy spending time with my fiancé, children and grandchildren. We enjoy trips away in nature. I have a love for animals and keep chickens, a cat named Simba, fish and a tortoise named Gonzo!

Narcisa Muntean

Job Title: Deputy Manager Joined: 2022

I qualified as a teacher in 2005, but my path changed in 2012 when I came to the UK and started working in the care sector as a care assistant. I have experience in both nursing and residential care homes which enabled me to gain more in-depth knowledge of differing care needs. I’m a great believer that no two residents are the same and that each has differing needs, desires and preferences.


I have developed through training and practice and besides being a care assistant, I have been an activity coordinator, and a team leader and I currently have over 3 years of experience as a Deputy Manager.


My biggest achievement to date has been occupying a position as Acting Manager in my previous workplace. It was a very rewarding position, full of new challenges from which I have learnt a lot and gained a good understanding of the management role in a care home which I look forward to bringing to Rokewood Court. I am currently working on my Leadership and Management level 5 Diploma, and I am using every opportunity to share my experience with the team and to get involved in our resident's care. I am very passionate about elderly and Dementia care which I aim to pass on to the rest of the team. I am the Lead Wellbeing & Lifestyle Coordinator at Rokewood Court, Kenley. I am responsible for putting together a timetable of activities and events for residents covering everything from physical, social, experimental, emotional/spiritual, creative/artistic, therapeutic and sensory activities.


I spent 37 years working as a library supervisor for the Borough of Croydon, where I managed teams at the Central Library and its 12 branches. I am a singer/songwriter/performer and have had a 35 year career performing in theatres and concert halls, having released 4 original albums of self-penned songs (all available on Spotify). I am a book author and have written and published 7 non-fiction books on everything from religion to history and biography. I am a recipient of the Diocese of Southwark’s Bishop’s Certificate and have been on Pilgrimage to the Holy Land.


I am married (23 years ago in Liverpool) and have girl/boy twins now age 16. I love good food and fine wine, good comedy and great music.

I started at Rokewood in March 2022 and in December 2022 I was promoted to Head of Housekeeping. I enjoy the challenges day to day life brings at work keeping a 64 bedroom home clean and tidy and ensuring the residents feel like they are at home whilst staying with us.


I am a busy mum of two wonderful girls. I am originally from Cape Town and moved to the UK 25 years ago. I am a very sociable lady and enjoy days out with the family exploring new areas. I am often seen at a concert or two as both my children play musical instruments.

Job Title: Administrator Joined: 2021

I am the Administrator of the home and I deal with a variety of tasks within the home including Recruitment, Finance , payroll and general administration tasks. I also manage and support the administration team.


My very first role after leaving school was training to be a qualified Nursery Nurse. After passing exams and working in a nursery school I decided working with children was really not for me so taught myself how to type and became an office worker. I now have many years experience of working within an administration role and have previously worked in a care home for another provider. I have been working at Rokewood since 2021 and love working here and being part of a wonderful team.


I have two daughters and two grandchildren together with a Jack Russell cross called Casper. I love reading and have been known to get through 4 books in a week. I also like to Travel, my favourite destination so far being Italy. I also like listening to music whilst doing housework.
