From the onset communication with the home manager has been excellent. My father has started a respite period with a view to become a full-time resident... All staff have been very accomodating, attentive and delivering their services with a smile.. the accomadation is of a high standard and the food is excellent.

Dad went to The Grange reluctantly after losing my mum earlier this yr. He was first assessed at our house by the genuinely kind & caring home manager, who leads a wonderful team of compassionate, kind, caring, professionals; from the carers, to the cleaners, the maintenance man, kitchen staff, activities staff, receptionists & admin. I am always greeted with a wave and a smile and I'm contacted straight away if there are concerns about my dad, or just to reassure me if I've been worried. Carers take time to sit and chat with him, and he is treated with respect and kindness. He speaks highly of both the staff and the home itself and enjoys the food which he says is plentiful.

The small friendly setting is perfect for my dad and cleanliness is of a very high standard. His room is tastefully furnished and decorated and cleaned daily. Dad is allowed his own pictures and possessions which has helped him settle. I really couldn't be happier and thank all the staff for everything they do.

My Dad received excellent care at The Grange. All of the staff are incredibly kind and caring, from the carers themselves, to the hosts, wellbeing team, receptionists and cleaners. Everyone is helpful and cheerful and they all know the residents on a very individual basis. It really is a big family and we just could not have managed without them.

The whole care home has been amazing to my entire family. Not only to my mother as one of their residents but also to my father as a regular visitor. I cannot believe how well they have treated both of them. The staff from all the wonderful carers up to the manager have been incredibly supportive through our recent sudden loss. I just can't thank them enough.

The staff have always shown compassion, care and professionalism. They listen carefully to any concerns and put a strategy in place to make residents comfortable. They are all very approachable and willing to explain and consult with myself or my mother. I have not doubts about the staff's ability to put my mums needs foremost and keep her safe and comfortable. I greet them all as friends and am happy to have them care for my mum. It would be nice if occasionally an activity could take place in Mum's room.

Country Court advertise as ''Our family, caring for yours'. My Mum was resident at The Grange for just over 4 years and I can say with hand on heart that this statement is no exaggeration! From the outset, it was as though Mum had been taken into the very heart of The Grange and looked after as though she were a relative of each staff member. Over 4 years, Mum's dementia increased and there were many challenges to deal with, ranging from falls in the beginning, to the deterioration of all her faculties towards the end. However, even when bedbound, the staff treated Mum as though she were still the vibrant lady whom they had first met. Even if they had not known her very long, she was still cared for with immense love and respect right up until her final breath. This includes the cooks who took time to prepare a tasty purée and the cleaners who chatted to Mum even when she could only listen. I will never be able to thank the team enough for the total loving care that was given to Mum

The comfort and security that The Grange gave to my wife was exemplary. Her room was always clean and tidy, being able to add a few personal items from home was beneficial to her settling in quickly. The staff were kind, caring and friendly, particularly the activities team, whose patience and activities were very welcome and I enjoyed a trip to the garden centre for coffee and cake. The hairdresser kept her looking lovely. Although her time at The Grange was shorter than expected, we cannot fault the care she received.

Our dear mother stayed at The Grange Care Home for just over four years. She considered this as her true home, with care, and attention from so many kind staff. The environment is bright, clean and homely, with lots of activities, run by enthusiastic and committed staff. I cannot praise the care team here highly enough, my only suggestion would be; please raise their pay rates, they all deserve this in recognition of all their hard work.

My mum was a resident at The Grange Care Home for just over two and a half years, during which time she couldn’t have been looked after better. The home is beautifully equipped and extremely homely, but more importantly, it’s the carers and whole team of staff at The Grange who made her life so happy and enriched during the time that she was with them. They really did care for her and all of the residents in every sense. The food is excellent with lots of variety and the activities at the home are fun, stimulating and really well planned and thought-out. When it came to the end, they looked after her and us amazingly well and we couldn’t have wished for a better place for her to have been. She was part of their family and they were an extended part of ours and we feel incredibly grateful to everyone at the home. Thank you!

My late mother spent nearly three years at The Grange Care Home. Our overall experience has been very positive. High quality management, very caring and competent staff, good facilities and good communications have been key. The room was lovely and kept clean. They had a difficult time in covid but they managed it reasonably well. Staff levels dipped then but were quickly restored. My mother always felt happy and secure there and they were on top of her needs. They reacted well to her ongoing medical needs and the occasional need for interventions. We felt she was respected at all times. There were some good activities and trips - although it would have been great if there had been more of them. Overall my family are very grateful to all at The Grange Care Home and would recommend it to others.

Mum was in The Grange Care Home for nearly four months at end of her life. She was looked after very well by all the staff who genuinely cared about her welfare. We were shown around whilst choosing a Care Home for Mum, the feel we got for the Home was backed up by what we saw and felt once she moved in. From the Manager to Reception, Hospitality staff, Housekeeping to Carers everyone was kind, friendly and caring and respectful. Food was varied and good quality as well as plentiful, although Mum didn’t join in the activities they looked stimulating for the Residents.
The Home has a lovely family feel, our only regret is that Mum didn’t move there sooner so she could enjoy what was on offer.

I would certainly recommend this Home to other families

The Grange was home to my Dad for the last 6 weeks of his life. He had delirium and it was quite a challenge to look after him. But throughout his stay, he was treated with kindness and respect and dignity. The Grange is like a 5* hotel, the facilities, the bedrooms and the delicious food. We couldn't have asked for a better environment or more caring staff. A particular mention to the staff who were marvellous and treated my Dad, not as an old man but as a personality who had lived a full life and was deeply loved. Thank you all from the bottom of our hearts.

My mother became a resident at The Grange after having been discharged from the hospital in April 2022 following a serious fall, firstly for respite care and then permanently when it became obvious she couldn't return home. Her well-being and her safety have been my main concerns and to that end, The Grange and its staff have provided that safe environment, as well as excellent care and attention. She has been treated with nothing but kindness and respect from the staff who made the effort to get to know her as a person and her likes and dislikes. The menu caters for most tastes and the residents can have alternative options if the menu for a particular meal is not to their liking which is good as I know from experience, that older people can be a bit fussy at times. The Grange is bright, airy and tastefully decorated; rather like a 5-star hotel.

Having chosen the Grange to become Mum's new home, we as a family, know we made an excellent choice. The care and support she received in the first few months made Mum's move from her family home of over 40 years, easier for her to make the transition. She asked to be placed where she would have 24-hour care and emotional support which has certainly been provided by the staff at the Grange. Now that all the Covid restrictions have been lifted, she is happier and enjoying the activities provided and making new friends.
