Outstanding care home & facilities, particularly Kim the hairdresser. The staff are caring & approachable, friendly & always on hand for every problem or query that arises. The food is very high quality, hearty & nutritious. The social events are fabulous particularly the Christmas Nativity & Valentines
afternoon tea, so lovely to see the elderly residents so happy!

Mum has enjoyed her stay at Willowbrook View. The staff work really hard and are lovely with the residents. The home is lovely and kept very clean. Even though food is nice sometimes more individual choice for the cost. There is however a couple of things I am not happy with. I was informed the care
plan would only be done after contract was signed and payment made. I have asked 4 times to see it but never did. The dr situation was not as stated in the contract! There is no point of contact, no one around to ask.
Reply from Mathan Mohan Balasubramaniyan, General Manager at Willowbrook ViewDear Alison,

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback about your mum's stay at Willowbrook View. We are pleased to hear that she has enjoyed her time with us and that you find the home clean and welcoming. Your kind comments about our team are greatly appreciated, as our staff work hard to provide compassionate care and support to all residents.

We also appreciate your feedback regarding the food. We aim to provide a variety of choices and will share your comments with our kitchen team as we continue to review menus and options to better meet residents' preferences.

We are sorry to read about your concerns regarding the care plan and GP arrangements. This is not the experience we want families to have. Care plans should be accessible to residents and their families, and we apologise if this was not provided when requested.

Please feel free to contact the home and speak with the management team so we can discuss your concerns further.

My mum is 95 years old and had no previous respite care experience. She was very reluctant to go, however, I would say after the first day she was happy and participating in activities. The activity and care staff are exceptional, Johnny and Ellie especially! When we left my mum looked amazing. She
said "Well I'll definitely go back here". I feel so pleased I have found somewhere I feel more than happy to leave my mum.
Reply from Mathan Mohan Balasubramaniyan, General Manager at Willowbrook ViewThank you so much, Deborah, for taking the time to share such a kind review. Were delighted to hear that your mum settled in so quickly and felt happy and involved in the activities, especially as it was her first experience of respite care. Your kind words about our team mean a great deal to us, and well be sure to pass your thanks on to Johnny, Ellie, and the rest of the care and activities staff. Knowing your mum left feeling happy and well cared for, and that you felt confident leaving her with us, truly means everything. We would be more than happy to welcome your mum back anytime.

My Mum was 99 in December 2025 and had a hospital appointment on her actual birthday. I thought it would be lovely to take Mum to Willowbrook on the day before her birthday to celebrate with staff and residents before Mum went into Respite on the 19th December.

We decided to have some lunch with

Mum and my husband, Brother and Sister in law came too.

All the team did Mum proud. We didn't
know they had booked the private dining room for us. They had also put banners and balloons in the room for Mum.

The chef had baked Mum a cake which was beautiful and they even gave Mum a Birthday Box from all the staff/team.

It really made her day so again, a huge thank you to everyone involved.

The care and attention given to our friend and ourselves as visitors showed that the care home has the best interests of everyone at its heart. This is something very rare these days and is to be applauded. Care is a vacation, and Willowbrook has been blessed with a great team. They spent a lot of time
trying to ensure that they could meet our friends' eating requirements. Yes, it's a new care home and always learning to further their team, but person centred care time and a willingness to go the extra mile is an excellent start for clients, visitors, and to have happy staff.

Over four visits this spring, my wife and I have been consistently impressed by the warm, welcoming atmosphere and outstanding care at Willowbrook View in Swindon. In newly landscaped grounds near canal towpaths, it offers peaceful outdoor activity and easy access to local amenities, including a nearby
pub/restaurant and Waitrose. A memorable moment was seeing two herons while our grandson joyfully pushed his Great Great Uncle along the tow-path, a heartwarming, multi-generational experience.

Inside, the care continues. Staff are genuinely kind and attentive to both residents and visitors, creating a true sense of community. The food is exceptional, and the bistro and bar team go above and beyond to provide compassionate service in a relaxed, uplifting setting. The interiors are beautifully maintained, and we were pleased to see my uncle finish a tailored exercise session with the in-house physical trainer.

Willowbrook View feels like a five-star hotel-with all the warmth of home.

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.9 (9.903) out of 10 for Willowbrook View is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 20 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 20 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.903 for Willowbrook View is calculated as follows: ( (218 Excellents x 5) + (17 Goods x 4) + (3 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 238 Ratings = 4.903
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Willowbrook View is based on 20 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 84 registered maximum number of service users is 16.8, which has been reached with 20 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

Job Title: Office Manager Joined: 2025

To me, the most important part of a Care Home is the residents and their families. I like to feel that with my help, new residents starting their next chapter have a smooth transition and their loved ones' concerns and worries are put at ease.

I love a “to-do” list and even more, I love to tick the items off the list. Being organised is part of my day-to-day life - not just at work. It gives me great satisfaction to know that keeping on top of everything ensures, that with my help, the Home will run efficiently and smoothly.

As the Hospitality Manager at Willowbrook View, I take pride in ensuring our residents are refreshed and comfortable throughout their dining experience.
I support a wonderful team of assistants who are dedicated to meeting the needs of our residents and am proud to have introduced our very own menu of cocktails for residents and families to enjoy in our relaxing bistro and garden courtyard.
