Badby Park in Daventry is a purpose-built facility, providing rehabilitation, long term care, respite and palliative care for people with neurological illnesses, acquired brain injuries and spinal cord injuries.
Badby Park is a multi award-winning centre of excellence in the provision of complex care.
It won the Complex Care Provider category at the Health Investor Awards in 2013 and 2014 and was a finalist in 2015. In 2010 Badby Park won the Pinders Design Award, received a special mention within the category ‘Healthcare Building of the Year’ at the Health Investor Awards and was nominated as finalist at the Inspiration and Innovation Award at the UK's Acquired Brain Injury Forum (UKABIF).
Badby Park is registered with the Care Quality Commission for the provision of care with nursing. The site has a fully established multi-disciplinary therapy team providing therapeutic interventions for individuals that require rehabilitation following a brain injury. The therapy team includes physiotherapy, occupational therapy, psychology, speech and language therapy, dietetics, wellbeing facilitator, therapy assistants, medical and neuropsychiatry.
The service is based across three individual units: Arbury, Meadows and Lantern.
The Arbury supports residents requiring intensive or slow-stream, post acute rehabilitation following acquired brain injury or spinal cord injury. It also supports long-term neurological conditions, such as stroke, multiple sclerosis and adults with cerebral palsy.
The Arbury team is able to support residents with challenging behaviour and cognitive problems (memory, organising and thinking skills) in addition to managing their physical and nursing needs.
