Forward Vision is a transitional care home for young adults aged 17-25 who are blind or partially sighted and have additional disabilities. The home is run by Royal Blind, Scotland's largest visual impairment organisation.

The service is registered with, and regulated by, The Care Inspectorate. Forward Vision operates in three purpose built bungalows which together can house a number of young adults. Short breaks are available when space allows.

Julie Jamieson, Dip SW, MBASW, BA (Hons) in Social Work Studies. Julie is Care Services Manager for Kidscene, the Royal Blind School and Forward Vision. Julie has worked at the Royal Blind School since 1998. Julie has worked in the field of social care for 28 years, in various posts within Residential Child Care, Adult Services, Disability and Mental health, having worked largely within the voluntary sector. Julie has continued through professional development to expand her knowledge in the area of social care and has recently been appointed as a member of SSSC Registration and Conduct Committee.
