My mother has recently moved to Foxbridge House. The staff have made a huge effort to ensure that the process was as easy as possible. The care Mum has received has been exemplary, as a result Mum has settled in well.

My aunt and uncle moved into Foxbridge House 1st May. They have been here for 4 weeks and are extremely happy. The staff are lovely and nothing is too much trouble for them. The rooms are very good and comfortable. Food is excellent and caters for all tastes. Hot drinks, cake and biscuits always available. Plenty of daytime entertainment. All in all, my aunt and uncle are safe, secure and happy.

My aunt 96 and uncle moved in at the beginning of this month as they were no longer able to look after themselves at home. My aunt is walking around on her frame very confidently as, at home, she wasn't leaving her bedroom or getting dressed. So nice seeing them mixing with people. Tea, coffee and cakes in reception are fab. The coffee shop is a great place to spend time with them.

Overall good care in terms of keeping them safe, feeding and being kind to residents. However, they do not keep residents clean and hygienic, e.g. my Nan needs her teeth cleaned and pads changed, yet they don't do it often enough. There is lack of staff but when staff are around them they are usually on the computer or filing papers.

The care home is very professionally run. All care staff are competent, pleasant and caring. The establishment has a "homely" feel about it and all facilities are good, including food.

One gripe - the television in my mother's room has not worked properly since she arrived. Despite repeated requests, it has not been resolved. Not good when paying £6,500 per month!

My dad joined Foxbridge in June 2017, after an initial meeting and walk around the home. All the staff are very friendly, welcoming and caring. They work hard together to ensure that each resident feels settled, comfortable and individual. Dad loves the food and going to the cinema!

My mother has been at Foxbridge for almost five years.
About half the time she was on the ground floor and she has been on the second floor for the other half as she is immobile and needs medical care.
All the care staff are good and many are excellent.

They care for her and care about her, which is important.

Our mother was previously in a home that did not provide nursing care. We have found Foxbridge House to be friendly and caring. It doesn't matter who you speak to, they are all well informed and up to date with my mother's care. She is clean, fed and well cared for.
There are many homes who could learn from Foxbridge.
So far, very good, keep it up.

And thank you.

Mum had a 2-week respite after being taken ill and a brief spell in hospital to re-charge her batteries and get back to fitness for returning home to her house.

Mum enjoyed her spell here and repeatedly said how kind and caring the staff were.

I believe her only complaint was the food, which she likened to school dinners (she's an ex-teacher)! Other than that everything was as we wished for her prior to arrival.

So from myself and my sister, we were very grateful.

A two-week respite for myself. A pleasant experience, treated with respect and kindness by all members of staff.

My only criticism was the quality and suitability of food for elderly and in some cases unwell people.

We have found the carers are very helpful. The rooms are always very clean and tidy, we feel the home is very secure. The dining is very pleasant and the food is always very good and appropriate for older people. My father appreciates the lovely garden. The family enjoy visiting my father and taking him to the café and garden.

Since first contacting Foxbridge, I have only received caring, helpful and efficient service. From the initial meetings to now (in the home for one month), I have got to know all the lovely staff and it has been a very pleasant (even though fretful to get my Aunt settled) experience. They are always cheerful, greet you with a smile and hello, and will spare time for you if you have any worries. My special thanks to the team.

Meet the Team (1)

Stella Barnes
Stella BarnesJob Title:Home Manager

There are many different aspects of my role as Home Manager at Foxbridge House, but one of my favourites is the opportunity to meet and get to know residents and their families. It’s a huge privilege.

Every person we care for is at the heart of their care: they make decisions about how they want to be cared for, how they want to spend their day and live their life, and we support them to make that happen.

Central to achieving that is having a superb team. We have great people at Foxbridge House who are determined to do their best for residents, relatives and for each other. I’m here to support them to succeed, and Care UK supports me to succeed as well.

While this job is high-pressured and there’s a lot to juggle, the feeling at the end of the day of knowing that you’ve done the best job you can is second to none.
