Many respite homes in the Bradford area will not book resident stays in advance. The Gateway does provide this facility, which is so important when trying to plan a loved one's respite care. I have used other homes in the past, but after dropping Mum off for a two-week stay, I felt totally confident that she would hopefully enjoy her experience and certainly be very well looked after.
Newly purpose built with excellent facilities, and caring, friendly staff. I know that the meals were good, as she returned home quite a bit heavier!
After mine and Mum's experiences, I would certainly recommend The Gateway to others for respite care.

My Aunt needed some urgent support/respite in late September she has been suffering from a dementia type illness for 3 years. We found Bradford Gateway. When we spoke with the team it was obvious that we were talking with people that cared and wanted to help. Bradford Gateway helped immediately and took full control of the situation - it's an absolutely second to none facility with personal touches. My Aunt has settled in very well, after a nervous start she is getting the rest and support that she needs and also engaging with other clients in the facility. The level of personal support she receives from the care team at Bradford Gateway is excellent, they make time to talk with my Aunt and others, they welcome family and ask for feedback on clients. There is a strong commitment from the team that I have personally seen, it's refreshing to see this. From my personal perspective I know my Aunt is safe and is being well cared for and to me, she is enjoying life a little more. Thanks.

My grandma stayed at The Gateway Respite home for 1 week in September 2017.
The home was spotless, the room was large, very bright and well equipped.
We wanted a special bed for my grandma and this request was sorted for us without any problems.
The staff were very kind and nothing was a problem.
We would certainly recommend this respite care home to anyone as our experience from start to finish was very good.
The manager of the home is a lovely person and very approachable.
This is a new respite home this year 2017 so I wish the manager and all her team all the best for the future.
