Wordsworth House is a comfortable residential and nursing care service registered for seventy-two people, specialising in general nursing, palliative care, residential and dementia care. A homely environment is ideal for service users to achieve a comfortable lifestyle, while carers have access to the latest care technologies and methods to help to contribute to their well-being. Respite and convalescent care are both available from Wordsworth House, which keeps strong links with GPs and other health professionals, such as physiotherapists.

About You:

  • You have a valid NMC PIN and are RMN or RGN qualified and consistently comply with standards of professional practice whilst maintaining valid registration with the NMC;
  • You can oversee all aspects of medicine management on your shift – ensuring medicines are appropriately received, stored and administered, in accordance with company policies and current legislation;
  • You possess strong interpersonal and communication skills and conduct yourself with a person-centred approach whilst maintaining professional relationships;
  • You are motivating, engaging, and show strong leadership abilities as to lead a care team promoting rehabilitation and independence, together with dignity and respect, such that the lives of our residents as they would wish it, and choose it to be;
  • You can maintain and execute excellent standard of care and Health & Safety standards;
  • You are prepared to act up for the Deputy Home Manager or Home Manager in their absence;
  • You have the ability to analyse problems and propose solutions or improvements and ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory and best practice guidelines – identify, investigate and resolve risks proactively.
  • You show a good understanding and can effectively use IT and communication systems required for the role
  • You are always respectful of the values, views and needs of others
  • You are able to work under pressure and prioritize workload
