We're looking for a dedicated and caring Activities Lead to join our team at Wickmeads in Tuckton

You'll provide a range of imaginative and enjoyable social and therapeutic activities to our elderly residents, some of whom are living with dementia. You'll manage an ongoing calendar of social events and activities for residents covering their personal interests, including both indoor and outdoor events.

This will include negotiating with suppliers, ordering materials, buying tickets, booking transport, arranging outings, including the wider care team, including the friends and family of residents if appropriate, and researching exciting new activities. You'll also supervise the Activities Assistant.

Wickmeads is 50-bed state of the art bespoke home that has been designed according to the latest research into dementia and nursing care.

About you

You'll be social and outgoing with excellent communication skills, a strong sense of empathy, well organised, and able to effectively manage your time. Full training will be provided but previous experience in a similar role will be an advantage.

Please note this role includes covering some weekends and evenings and Bank Holidays.
