A great opportunity has arisen in our Residential Care Home and you will be working as part of a highly committed team at The Meadows Residential Care Home. The activity coordinator is one of the most important roles in the care home. As an Activities Coordinator, you will be responsible for assisting with the day to day activities, such as bowling, darts, bingo, cards and other dementia related activities. We are also open to suggestions and are more than willing to adapt the activities to your previous knowledge and experience. At the Meadows Care Home, we pride ourselves on the warmth and support we provide to our residents and their families. We promote independence, dignity and quality of life at all times in a person centred caring and supportive environment.

The Meadows Care Home has won the award for one of the Top Twenty Care Homes in London two years in a row (2016 and 2017) and the staff are the most important asset we have. We are looking for someone who is patient, caring and compassionate and capable of thinking on their feet whilst motivating volunteers and inspiring others with your cheerful personality. We are also looking for a highly motivated individual with experience who will use their skills to enrich the lives of vulnerable adults by engaging them with activities.

This role is perfect for someone who loves elderly people and wants some part time work, for a few hours each day. We can be very flexible on the days you work, as it is more important that we find the right person for this job. The hours will be from 1.30pm until 5pm.

  • Ideally someone with a background of similar roles in day centres or care homes or with children with special needs
