Activity Coordinator - For a BRAND NEW Bupa Care Home

£8.40 based on a 40 hour contract plus excellent benefits

Wyke Beck Court Care Home- Leeds

We are currently looking for an enthusiastic, experienced and committed Activity Coordinator to join the team in our brand new care home in Leeds. Conveniently located on the corner of York Road and Harehills Lane.

Wyke Beck Court has been designed to provide the highest standards in residential care and includes modern dining rooms and spacious lounges which provide perfect places for our residents to meet and socialise. The 84 bedrooms within the home are fully furnished to a very high standard and other special features include a beauty salon and a dedicated multipurpose activities room.

About the role

You will be responsible for organising and creating a varied activities programme, from organised hobbies to group events, all of which will promote independence, choice and dignity for our residents

You will to get to know our residents, their interests and life stories, so you can deliver events that truly enrich their lives and ensure they feel connected with their community

Whilst motivating colleagues to support events in the home, you will also be responsible for actively promoting activities in the community and encourage family and friends to become involved

You will keep up-to-date with the necessary paperwork and keep an eye on budgets.

Who we're looking for

You will be positive, outgoing and enjoy being creative in your role. You'll be confident in organising colleagues in delivering activities and be comfortable developing relationships in the local community to promote the home.
