With the backing of a major investor, London Place Care has recently entered the care sector with plans to grow and become a market leader in providing quality care. The exciting new role of Director of Care has been created to oversee the development of a successful and long-established group of four homes in the Folkestone area, each with its own care manager, caring for adults with learning and physical disabilities. Reporting to the Managing Director, the Director of Care will also support the company with the acquisition and development of other care homes in different areas of the country.

Initially, you will support the running of the Folkestone care group and increase capacity through the development of assisted living housing planned. You will also provide support to the homes’ care managers reviewing processes and systems. You will liaise with the local authorities, residents and their families as required. Within the first year, it is anticipated you will also help the company identify and assess new opportunities to grow through further acquisitions.

We are looking for someone with the following background:

· Minimum of two years’ experience in care management at a senior level

· Commercially astute with entrepreneurial spirit

· Strong leadership skills

· Sales and marketing experience would be beneficial

· Good understanding of CQC and local authority requirements

· Excellent interpersonal and people management skills

· Sound understanding of HR processes

· Relationship management and project management experience

You are likely to be based within commutable distance of Folkestone and travel to other locations around the country as required.

Salary and other benefits:

· Salary in the region of £60,000-£70,000pa dependent on skills and experience
