Alexandra Rose residential care home is not a purpose-built structure, it is a carefully extended modernised building which has retained its homely feel. The home does, however, include many modern facilities such as the latest bathing equipment, a hair/beauty salon, even a bar!
As a privately owned care home, our philosophy to the business of care will be more personalised than our larger and more corporate competitors. We deliver a higher quality of care and understanding in a real home from home environment. We pride ourselves on our excellent reputation within the local community and strive to constantly improve our service.
2 days per week, 9.30am-5.30pm. Every Tuesday and Wednesday. Some weekend work required on occasion.
About the role
You will be responsible for organising and creating a varied activities programme, from organised hobbies to group events, all of which will promote independence, choice and dignity for our residents
You will to get to know our residents, their interests and life stories, so you can deliver events that truly enrich their lives and ensure they feel connected with their community
Whilst motivating colleagues to support events in the home, you will also be responsible for actively promoting activities in the community and encourage family and friends to become involved
You will keep up-to-date with the necessary paperwork and keep an eye on budgets.
