Alexandra Rose residential care home is not a purpose-built structure, it is a carefully extended modernised building which has retained its homely feel. The home does, however, include many modern facilities such as the latest bathing equipment, a hair/beauty salon, even a bar!

Hours

2 days per week, 9.30am-5.30pm. Every Tuesday and Wednesday. Some weekend work required on occasion.

About the role

You will be responsible for organising and creating a varied activities programme, from organised hobbies to group events, all of which will promote independence, choice and dignity for our residents

You will to get to know our residents, their interests and life stories, so you can deliver events that truly enrich their lives and ensure they feel connected with their community

Whilst motivating colleagues to support events in the home, you will also be responsible for actively promoting activities in the community and encourage family and friends to become involved

You will keep up-to-date with the necessary paperwork and keep an eye on budgets.

The Candidate

As an Activity Co-ordinator you will have the following skills and attributes:

  • You will have some experience within a health and social care setting.
  • You will be positive, outgoing and enjoy being creative in your role.
  • You will have a genuine interest in working within a caring environment
  • You'll be confident in organising colleagues in delivering activities and be comfortable developing relationships in the local community to promote the home.
