This role is equivalent to Junior Sister level in the NHS.

The Marbrook Centre is an award-winning specialist neurological and dementia care provider in St Neots, (PE19 8EP). We deliver specialist 24-hour nursing and therapy services for adults with complex and long-term neurological conditions.

With our own clinical MDT, (including Neuro Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech and Language Therapy, Psychology and Addenbrookes consultant cover), we offer fast and slow stream outcome focused rehab packages for those living post a life-changing incident such as ABI, Spinal Cord Injury or Stroke and long-term neurological conditions such as MND.

We also have a specialist a-typical dementia service within its own area of the Centre (using Stirling University’s dementia-friendly design best practice) which cares for those living with Early Onset Dementia or those who have 'challenged' other less specialist services and conditions such as Korsakoff Syndrome

Our approach to rehabilitation, recovery and re-ablement is comprehensive and goal-directed, paying specific attention to health, sustaining and making relationships and enabling residents to start to have choice and control over their futures.

We are looking for Registered General Nurses who share our passion for ensuring that we deliver first rate care with compassion and courage to join our growing Neuro Rehabilitation Care Team at our purpose built centre.

Reporting to the service manager you will be responsible for a team of support workers and will oversee the smooth running of the shift. You will be required to deliver every aspect of our residents’ care, ranging from personal care to managing and administering medication and must, therefore, have a hands-on approach

An excellent communicator, you will liaise closely with the therapy team to implement personal care plans, and you must have the ability to lead and inspire your team.

Previous experience is essential, and experience of working in neurological rehabilitation is desirable.

We are committed to equal opportunities and successful applicants will be subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check for regulated activity and hold a current PIN number.

If you feel you have the skills and experience required and are confident you can achieve our high standards, have excellent people skills, and empathy and understanding of the challenges faced by our residents, we would love to hear from you.
