We are looking for a Deputy Manager to complement the team within our privately owned 27 bed residential care home. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with the elderly, excellent people management skills, relevant qualifications and experience of working within a similar role. This role is full-time and will require some weekend working.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Proven experience within a management role within a caring environment.
  • Experience of assisting with a CQC Inspection within a residential environment
  • A passion for working with the elderly.
  • Some knowledge of the Health & Social Care Act.
  • Experience of the safe management of medication.
  • Knowledge and experience of Person-Centred Planning
  • Some knowledge of the KLOES
  • A positive and motivational outlook on management.
  • Ability to communicate at all levels
  • Excellent attention to detail to ensure high standards of care and wellbeing are maintained.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Diploma in Health & Social Care – minimum Level 3.
  • Willingness to work weekends
  • and unsociable hour at times.
