Job summary

Cheadle Manor is a purpose-built care home facility in the popular location of Cheadle village, Stockport. The home is registered to provide care to 68 residents who have a variety of care needs including residential and nursing. The home meets all CQC requirements and provides the highest of safety, comfort and care to residents. The home reflects the Lovett Care vision of providing the highest standards of safety, comfort and care. We invest in the latest technology and offer a purposeful programme of daily activity and gentle exercise to enhance the experience, care and wellbeing of our residents. All team members are hand selected for their warmth and passion; they have a full induction and ongoing training from our in-house trainers. Across Lovett Care all of our staff are paid the national minimum wage or above.

We are seeking to appoint a kind, organised and motivated Kitchen Assistant to join our team. To assist with the preparation of meals for residents and external visitors. We have a 0 hour BANK contract available with an hourly rate of £12.21! Shift times are 0800-1900, with alternate weekend working.

Please be aware that this vacancy is for a 0 hour bank contract to cover sickness and annual leave. There are no guaranteed/regular hours available with this contract.

Role Responsibilities:
• Assist with food preparation and cooking for daily menus as directed by the Head Chef / Assistant Chef.
• Ensure that all kitchen equipment and kitchen areas are cleaned according to cleaning schedules.
• Ensure compliance at all times of Health and Safety, Food Hygiene, COSHH and HACCP requirements and legislation.
• Follow instructions from Head Chef and Chef.
• Undertake pot washing duties on a daily basis.

Skills and experience required:
• Previous experience of working in food services is desirable.
• Experience of working within a busy kitchen environment as part of a team is desirable.
• Ability to communicate effectively with other team members is essential.
• A willingness to learn is essential.
• No formal qualifications are required as we provide training & development in relation to this role.
