Residents enjoy planting tubs and baskets
On the afternoon of Wednesday 11 April, five residents came together for an indoor gardening session at Abbotsleigh Care Centre.
They had some lovely plants to work with, including geraniums and pansies, and lots of hanging baskets.
One of Abbotsleigh's residents, Margaret, used to do lots of gardening on the farm she lived on, so they were glad of her tips - for example, she advised not to put too many plants in one tub.
Margaret got so much from the planting session; "I enjoyed that!" she said at the end.
Their tubs and baskets were well watered and placed in visible positions outside for residents to attend to and enjoy.
More gardening to follow and hopefully they can get outside soon.
