Some of the Ladies and Gents living at Stocks Hall Skelmersdale Home took advantage of the summer sunshine by enjoying a trip out to Acorn Animal Farm recently.
Acorn Farm is an award-winning, family-friendly attraction in Kirkby, Merseyside. A wide range of animals live at the farm, many of which you can feed and stroke. Animals that are there include sheep, cows, goats, pigs, horses and chickens, small animals such as rabbits and guinea pigs and even meerkats!
As Acorn is a working farm, there are often baby animals including lambs, goat kids, piglets and chicks to see. David, Keith, Rose and Edna went on this trip, accompanied by staff and are seen here enjoying tactile moments with the animals.
The farm’s facilities include a woodland walk, plant sales centre and a farm shop selling home-produced free-range meat, eggs and goat’s milk ice cream in addition to a café, souvenirs, sweets and drinks.
Mark, Activities at Stocks Hall Skelmersdale Home said “Everyone was really interested in the animals, as can be seen from the photographs."
