Winchester-based charity, The Brendoncare Foundation, is pleased to announce that Tor (Victoria) Robbins, Administrator at Brendoncare Park Road, won the ‘non-care employee of the year’ award at the recent Hampshire Care Awards.
The Hampshire Care Awards is an annual event, organised and hosted by Hampshire Care Association and Hampshire Domiciliary Care Providers, to celebrate outstanding individuals and providers of adult social care across the county.
Erin Langley, home manager, at Brendoncare Park Road, received the award on behalf of Tor, at the award presentations evening at the Winchester Guildhall.
Tor Robbins describes herself as someone who enjoys helping others and is passionate about working in the charity sector. Despite being based in an office within the home, residents know her well and she takes the time to learn what is important to each person living at Park Road.
Tor Robbins has this to say, “I am really delighted to win this award. It is honestly due to the great team we have at Brendoncare Park Road. I am so grateful to work for such a great company and it is totally deserved by all the staff at Park Road. They are the most caring, wonderful people I have ever met and deserve this award far more than I do!”
Brendoncare Park Road is a care home in Winchester, providing nursing care for up to 40 people. The home aims to enable older people to live independent, happy and fulfilling lives, with the emphasis very much on quality and enjoyment of life.
