Residents at Amerind Grove care home in Bristol were delighted to be transported on a journey back through time as they visited local museum Oakham Treasures.

The museum, which is a former family working farm, displays a collection of vintage and antique items to the public, including haberdashery, hats, post office items, toys, cars and much more.

The trip saw residents observing the displays, which triggered childhood memories for many.

Once they had viewed all of the displays, residents enjoyed a delicious lunch in the museum’s café and discussed their favourite displays as they reminisced together.

One resident commented: “Today really was a walk back down memory lane. It was nice to see things I had as a child and grew up with.”
