It was a beautiful day when Bibesh and Kath were able to take a small group to the fantastic Minterne Gardens in Minterne Magna.
Minterne House is the home of the Churchill and Digby families and has been since 1620. Home to the first Sir Winston Churchill, the present House was built in 1905 and still contains the original Churchill tapestries and furniture.
A younger son from Sherborne Castle, Admiral Robert Digby bought the house and valley on a ‘walk-in, walk-out’ basis ensuring everything in the house was retained.
Steeped in Naval history, Henry Digby was Captain of the ‘Africa’ during the battle of Trafalgar. Many letters, paintings and prizes from that time are still at Minterne.
The sun was shining and love was in the air for one of our Trinity Manor couples as they enjoyed a wonderful morning in the sun.
