Remembrance Day Church Service

Residents, staff, family and members of the local community came together to pay tribute to those who gave so much for our freedom. Our Remembrance Church Service was led by Elizabeth Shorthouse and supported by Sharon Mepstead. We joined together for a church service in the lounge, sung a selection of well know hymns including 'The Lord's My Shepherd' and 'Thine be the Glory', and observed a minutes silence with deep respect and reflection. It was a touching afternoon filled with pride, gratitude, and remembrance, a time to honour the heroes of the past and those who still serve today. After the service, we continued to remember those who are no longer with us, sharing stories and memories about the war while enjoying afternoon tea and cake.
