Liberty House Care Home, part of the Runwood Homes Group, marked World Kindness Day on 13 November with a warm and uplifting celebration dedicated to spreading kindness throughout the home and wider community.
To honour the day, the team handed out thoughtful gifts to staff, district nurses, residents’ families, and members of the local community, a gesture designed to show gratitude for the constant support and care they provide.
Home Manager Tracey at Liberty House, who helped lead the initiative, shared: “As it’s World Kindness Day, we wanted to spread kindness to our wonderful staff, nurses, and family members, as they are wonderful to us every day. A little kindness goes a long way.”
The celebration was supported by Deputy Manager Amy and Lifestyle Coordinator Jody, who spent the day delivering gifts and connecting with those who play an important role in the Liberty House community.
One of the district nurses, Tinu, expressed her appreciation, saying:
“That’s so nice of you. Thank you so much, this really means a lot to me, and I class Liberty House as part of my family. It’s such a welcoming, loving home.”
The atmosphere throughout the day was described as warm, joyful, and full of appreciation. Smiles and heartfelt thanks were shared across the home, with many touched by the thoughtful efforts.
Everyone involved agreed that the highlight of the event was the genuine happiness and gratitude shown by those receiving the gifts, a reminder of the power of small acts of kindness.
Liberty House looks forward to continuing to build a caring, connected community through moments like these.
