Orpington21st February 2018

Baycroft Grays Farm Road has been selected as a finalist in the Best New Care Home category of the care home ‘Oscars’, the Pinders Healthcare Design Awards, which comes with a £500 donation for a local charity.

Andrew Winstanley, Managing Director of Baycroft, said:
“Everyone at Baycroft is delighted that our success will help such an important local charity to not only our residents but the community of Bromley. Baycroft and St Christopher’s are both dedicated to giving people and their families the best care and quality of life at the most difficult time so it makes sense to support them.”

Sarah Coughtrie, Community Fundraising & Events Manager at St Christopher’s said:
“On behalf of the patients, families and carers at St Christopher’s we would like to extend our deepest thanks for this generous donation. The support of Baycroft enables St Christopher’s to continue providing expert end of life care and support to over 6,500 people a year across South East London. Without the support of community-minded organisations like Baycroft we simply could not provide these vital services, thank you.”

Nomination for the Pinders Awards is a major achievement for a newcomer to the care home market. The award submission included a description of the home’s key objectives and how these have been achieved with reference to aspects such as resident comfort/wellbeing/choice, design features and innovation, meeting market requirements and aesthetic features.

This year’s final results will be announced on Wednesday 14th March at the Lancaster London Hotel.
