View Full Details of Hatfield HouseThe home is a very caring place all the residents are treated very well, it's always very clean and the food "looks lovely". My grandmother has been living in Hatfield House for about 18 months now. She loves it, very much. Always treated with dignity and respect. All staff at the home are great.
The home and staff are first class in every way. Really glad we brought my mother in law.
There is nothing wrong with the home. It is clean, tidy, staff are brilliant. I am so pleased my sister is here.
My mum moved into Hatfield House after a protracted stay in hospital. As soon as I visited, I felt at ease and felt sure that my mum would be comfortable. She was a little nervous on day one, but that passed as soon as she met the staff and was welcomed with open arms. I was told by the hospital that she would never walk again and that she would be incontinent; both of these are no longer true. The staff have encouraged her to be independent, and she is thriving and happy. She has made friends and looks so much healthier. She loves getting her hair done each week and the lounge snack basket. I am very happy with the decision to place my mum here.
My mum moved in 3 months ago, myself and my siblings can now relax knowing my mum has got 24-hour excellent care, all her needs are met, the staff go above and beyond. The care home is immaculate, and meals are amazing. Activities are often and varied - We wouldn't want my mum anywhere else, and it's a pleasure visiting.
Hatfield House has become my mum's new home. She has settled in so well. The staff are caring, compassionate and communicate with kindness and a smile. The staff always listen to my mums needs and are dealt with in a prompt and respectful way. Her privacy and dignity is maintained at all times. The manager and her team keep me informed and are always approachable. My mum is happy, that's what matters.
My mum has been on end of life care for a few weeks but has thankfully turned a corner. All made the more possible with the amazing care from all the staff at Hatfield House, who have continued to provide exceptional care to my mum, whilst supporting me on this journey. I cannot express my gratitude enough, not just for the past few weeks, but also for the past 2 years of care they've provided to my mum. Mum is treated with respect, dignity and shown love and support.
We visit Mum in Hatfield House very regularly and hand on heart I can say we are always impressed and very grateful. Not only is the care excellent but it is truly individualised and given with love and attention to detail . Residents needs clearly differ but all are treated with professionalism and kindness and when appropriate, humour. Well done to all staff, you are amazing.
My mum has had some health challenges. Staff and management have supported mum and all family members. The whole team have worked together to connect with health service, communicate with family and reassure mum. The level of care has been excellent and given peace of mind to us as a family. We can't thank you enough.
I cannot praise the staff at Hatfield House enough for the care they have given to my dad over the last 4 years. He is treated like a member of the family, is well looked after and really loves living at Hatfield House. Nothing is ever too much trouble for the staff. My dad has a brilliant sense of humour and the staff love to have a laugh and a joke with him which he really appreciates. Hatfield House is extremely well run and I am grateful every day to have found such a wonderful place for my dad to live. My mum was also at Hatfield House prior to passing away and I will never forget the care and love shown to my mum and the rest of our family in her final days by everyone at Hatfield House. I would not hesitate to recommend Hatfield House to anyone. Thank you Hatfield House - you are amazing!!
Having visited a number of care homes, Hatfield House stood out as the best option for my uncle, and they haven't disappointed. The transition for my uncle wasn't easy at first but the home was able to adjust to my uncle's needs. The staffing and management have always been friendly, approachable and have always consulted with the family if there has been any issues. The home and my uncle's room is presentable and tidy, the housekeeping staff are forever doing his laundry and my uncle has been treated with care and respect, even when times have been difficult for him.
Watching our loved one live with dementia isn't easy, however, the staff at Hatfield House ensure our uncle is treated with dignity and respect. We as his family are always welcomed and included in all aspects of his care.
My mum has been living at Hatfield House for 4 and a half years and I had have no issues at all in that time. The home is welcoming and extremely clean. I have nothing but praise for the way the home is run, the reception staff and the care staff. No one is complacent. I am kept regularly informed about my mum on visits and a resident of the day phone call each month. The carers have become like family to my Mum and even though her dementia is advanced she responds well to those familiar faces and I know she is happy. It's so reassuring to know that she is so well cared for and treated with dignity and respect. I don't need to worry when I leave as I have complete confidence that she is in the best possible hands.
A double-edged review as firstly my mother-in-law is a resident in Hatfield House and her care has been tremendous. The staff are fantastic and she is really settled. The other part is that my wife is completely settled with her mum being a resident. She no longer has anxiety about her mum's care, no longer has to worry about whether her mum has eaten or taken her meds and most importantly feels that she can comfortably leave her to be OK once she has visited.
The manager and her excellent team are doing a fantastic job caring for my mother who has Alzheimer's. I would not ever consider an alternative care facility whilst the current team of people are in situ. It would be hard to find a better group of care staff anywhere. Well done to the manger and her staff and thank you.
If you are looking for hotel standards, then Hatfield is the ideal place, if you are looking for lovely staff then it's also the ideal place. However if your special person doesn't conform to the "certain way" they should conform to, then it's definitely not the ideal place. The way my Uncle was treated by the management (2 certain ladies) was appalling. After 6 days of him being there, they were ringing me nearly daily to tell me they "wanted him out". Asking us to go in and support him, we work and did visit regularly!. No care plan put in place, making him get up for breakfast, when clearly he didn't want any. This is all because he had a voice, and disrupted their perfect environment. Even when they knew he had nowhere to go, they insisted that he leave and it was only when he fell whilst in there care did they let him stay 4 more days. I and his social worker did everything they asked of us. Disgusting behavior from management. This is not a hotel but a care home.
This care home is first-class. Staff are very friendly and look after the patients with a lot of love and kindness.
Staff are always friendly and helpful. Residents receive excellent care. The home is always clean and well-maintained.
My mum has the best of care at Hatfield House, although she does need help with personal things, they still encourage her to be as independent as she possibly can. Her room is just delightful as are the lounges and dining room. I have even told my children if I ever need a care home, I will happily go to Hatfield House. I cannot speak highly enough of Hatfield House, the staff are brilliant and so caring.
July has been a tricky month for us as Mum broke her arm in June. I have not worried once about Mum though. All the staff have been amazing. Extra measures have been put in place without us having to ask. I can see clearly that the staff continually care about her. Hopefully Mum will be back to herself soon so she can join in the activities. She loves painting and baking so she will be pulling up a chair as soon as she can thank you very much.
