I have investigated the issues surrounding your wifes stay, which was some 5 months ago. I believe your wife started on a normal diet and needed to switch to puree food which can look unappetising and be disconcerting for Residents/family. Unfortunately, this must be done for clinical and safety reasons. I also checked the coeliac issue you raised and the kitchen staff purchased gluten-free foods and snacks before your wife arrived to meet her dietary needs. We have a zero-tolerance policy on speaking non-English languages and we act immediately on any instances of this. We strongly encourage Residents or family/friends to raise any issues to the Nurse/Manager so it can be addressed straight away as delays in reporting makes it harder for us to take action. We have received many positive comments about the food but we do understand the concerns you raised and are always looking to continually improve for our Residents. Our Manager would be more than happy to meet to discuss further.
