Thank you for taking the time to bring your experience to our attention. Our aim is to provide the best possible care to those we support and it is something we take very seriously. This review seems very out of character for us as a home, but we do encourage families to speak to the manager as most things can be resolved before it becomes an issue. Unfortunately, there are times when a person's needs change and behave out of character after discharge from hospital. Especially when living with dementia. I believe my team did explain the food in the bin and said we will encourage your husband to eat in communal areas. We also cannot mitigate falls but can put strategies in place to prevent the impact of them.
We don't have a record of any formal complaints made by yourself in the time your husband was here for respite. This makes it difficult to rectify a situation. Again we do apologise and strive to learn form this and move forward.
