We are all very sorry that your mum suffered an injury at the home that caused hospital treatment. Unfortunately, after a thorough investigation, we were unable to highlight the moment this injury occurred.<br>Initially, it was quite a small bruise and this spread over a longer period. We believe that as well as the injury itself other contributing factors not in our control had a direct impact on the extent of the injury. We reported ourselves to the safeguarding team the next day and we felt we kept in regular contact but am sorry if this was not sufficient and will aim to do better. We always look to provide high-level dementia nursing care for all our residents. We overwhelmingly have satisfied clients who are genuinely pleased with the service we provide so we take this issue very seriously. We have taken other steps to avoid such incidents and can outline these if you wish. Again, I would like to apologise and wish you and your mum all the best in the future.
