Thank you, whilst your mum was with us here on an assessment bed, she had 2 UTIs. First UTI was identified on 12/09/22 we contacted the GP, we sent an MSU to the hospital. The antibiotics were prescribed on the 13/9/22. The second UTI was identified on the 22/9/22 when we contacted the GP they requested a further MSU to be sent to the hospital which was completed. This process can take up to 72 hours or longer. The GP prescribed antibiotics on the 26.9.22. Looking into the dressing of your mum by the night staff we dealt with this as soon as you identified the concern. All staff had supervision, NOK were informed and a full apology was given via a telephone call by our trained member of the team. We have an open door policy and there are posters and leaflets around the home for relatives to discuss any concerns with trained staff or managers within Trentham House which was not accessed by the NOK.
