Thank you for taking the time to provide a review of Northlands. I am glad that your mother is happy and relaxed with our regular staff. I can assure you that staffing levels are reviewed regularly with the manager to ensure that we maintain safe levels.  <br>However, we are currently in the biggest crisis that I have ever seen in social care.  Recruitment and retention of staff are extremely difficult leading to increased reliance on agency staff. Staff sickness levels this autumn and winter have also been at unprecedented levels with the combination of COVID, Flu and other winter viruses. To try and address these issues, we have increased pay rates by 11.7% for care staff, introduced incentives and bonuses as well as encouraged take-up of the COVID and flu boosters. I hope additional Government funding will be forthcoming in 2023 to help us find a permanent solution to the problems that are affecting the whole social care sector.
