Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback.
The death of your brother must have been a distressing time for you. Care homes do not routinely have a defibrillator on site as this is not normal practice in the social care sector. All appropriate actions were taken by our nursing staff while awaiting for the ambulance service to arrive and support your brother.
Thistle Healthcare were not a corporate appointee at the time of your brothers' death and as such, we were reliant on the previous appointee sending money to the home. I understand this must have been distressing for you but the home acted in the best interest of your brother while appointeeship was transferred over to Thistle Healthcare. The amount of personal allowance per week could have been increased if needed there was no such request made to the home.
We are sorry that you feel the home has not provided your brother with the service you feel was required and thank you for the feedback.
