We are grateful for your review and have the following response for you.
The room allocated is one that is used for respite and although slightly smaller than some of the other rooms, it does meet CQC requirements and does have ensuite facilities which are perfectly adequate.
During your mother's stay, we were having maintenance work done on the call bells which is now resolved however alternative plans were put in place to ensure adequate care was always provided. The home was not understaffed as we always operate on a full rota to ensure a high quality of care and safety of the service users.
Camplehaye does have measures to prevent service users from leaving the home and its gardens however service users are most certainly not restricted in their activities and are free to walk around their home and gardens in a safe manner. Activities are provided on a daily basis and this can include service users being in the kitchen.
