Thank you for positive feedback in relation to the care team. However, some of your other comments are inaccurate and misleading. The reason why the resident in question was given notice, was due to the ongoing and repeated instances of aggression directed towards staff by the relatives. Management will not tolerate our staff being abused in any way.
In relation to your other points:
With regards to complaints, the management team will always be open and honest and will take appropriate action where necessary. We welcome complaints as this supports us in making improvements to the care we deliver. We will provide responses to the local authority where needed. In this case, the local authority deemed our response to be satisfactory.
Our residents can mobilise around the home freely, and we do not place unnecessary restrictions upon people. We want our residents to be as independent as possible, whilst still maintaining safety for residents and staff. We operate the service on an above-industry-average staffing ratio.
Our domestic team work hard to make the environment odour-free.
Under no circumstances would we be punitive towards or punish residents.
