We were sorry to hear of your concerns and hope our conversations with you were able to reassure you about your Mother’s care. We work with Local Authority and NHS teams to offer Rehabilitation and D2A (short term care) beds to the community. We support people, when they are discharged from hospital, providing a safe space until Social Care arrangements are agreed, and they can safely return home. We ensure consent is given for all patients moving into our home. Those admitted on a short-term basis only stay for up to 4 weeks, while a care package and equipment is arranged by other healthcare professionals (this is not controlled by the home). We make every effort to help families understand this process and have successfully helped patients return and stay at home with the correct care for many years now.
